"JOSH?"BILLIE REPLIED. "YOU WANTED to ask about Josh?"
She had a bit of an amused look on her face as the boy flushed red and nodded.
"Ah, where to begin. Joshua Darlington," she started with a teasing smirk. "Is my twin brother."
David's mouth formed an 'o' shape.
"Oh, and—um—why did you look sad when you were talking about him?" the boy inquired.
"Well, uh, Josh was diagnosed with leukaemia a few months ago. He just got done with treatments," explained Billie.
"Oh," David mumbled a response.
In that moment, all he could think about was how difficult life must be for her family, especially her mother having one child back in LA recovering from cancer treatments but not being able to see him, take care of him.
"Yeah," she shrugged.
Suddenly, there was a knock on the door of the girl's trailer.
"Billie! David!" the voice called to the duo. "We need you on set!"
