*smol time skip (like 15 min) brought to you by the exaggerated "i-i-i-i" in "I Love Play Rehearsal"*

My hands were wrapped in bandages and a nurse had managed to get the IV back into my arm. Of course, she was pretty mad that I pulled it out, but oh well.

I finish eating.

"Let's have some 'Sibling Bonding Time'!" Zoe suggests.

"The f*ck? We've never had that. What kind of prank ate you trying to pull here?" I ask, suspicious.

Zoe rolls her eyes. "Sheesh, just go along with it," she orders.

*5 minute time skip brought to you by "I like your side burns"*

Somehow, we got to the topic of... more personal things.

"So Connor, you like anyone?"

I nod reluctantly. He doesn't like me back though.

Zoe squeals. "Who?"

"It's my question now," I interrupt.

Zoe pouts and I smirk. "Do you like anyone?" I ask.

She blushes. "Yeah, I do."

"Describe them."

She smiles. "Well, they're really adorable, and smart, and amazing, and- wait that's not fair! That was another question!"

"But you fell for it!" I smirk.

Zoe huffs. "Well then tell me what your crush is like."

A wave of sadness rushed through me, but I quickly dismissed it. "Well, they... They're just amazing. Their smile, its just... Honestly, it makes my day. They don't laugh or smile much, but when they do, I literally die. They're so adorable, and cute, I just want to hug them forever and protect them and never let them go," I admitted.

Zoe whistles. "Daang, so have you confessed yet?"

I shrink. "They don't like me."

Zoe has a sympathetic face. "You told them then?"

I shake my head. "No."

"Then why do you think they don't li-"

"-cause they f*cking like you!" I snap.

Zoe looks stunned.

I back away, grabbing that machine that was attached to my arm and run into the bathroom before locking the door.

"Connor!" Zoe knocks on the door.

"Go away," I choke.

I try to steady my breathing.  Then I hear footsteps fading. I splash my face with water and then crouch against the door.

Ten minutes fly by.

Zoe probably is gone by now.

Cautiously, I open the bathroom door, and am greeted by a force knocking me backwards.

I stumble back with Zoe hugging me.

For some stupid reason, I feel tears prick my eyes.

"Everything's going to be fine," she comforts.

"It's not," I mumble.

Zoe shushes me. "It will, trust me."

I don't respond back.

She lets go. "Hey, I like Alana, okay?"

I stare at her, wide-eyed. "Really?"

She blushes and nods. Then she gasps. "Wait.. You're OK with me liking girls, right?"
