"It's you!"

"Ex-excuse me?" I asked in confusion as I stepped around the bodies laying on the floor.

The lead singer jumped down from the platform and rushed over to me.

"Okay," he blubbered excitedly, "this is gonna sound really weird and totally fake but just hear me out. That song we just played - we found the lyrics and sheet music in a box in the back of the store we work at, along with a note."

The drummer spoke next. "The note said that if this song is played to a crowd on Halloween night, something to do with the instrumentals meeting with the lyrics will cause a... sleep spell to fall over the crowd."

"And if there's anyone that's left standing, that person has witch blood in them!" the singer finished, practically bouncing with disbelief. "That's you!"

As soon as he uttered those two words, I lifted my hands and muttered an incantation, leading to the band members dropping to the floor, unconscious.

Well, all except one.

"Was that necessary?" my cousin sighed from his spot on the platform.

"Yes." I turned to leave. "Next time, try not to play magical songs that can blow our cover."
