Iris pov

"...alright Milo that's enough come-"

"No" Milo declared pouting making me sigh annoyed

"Milo you can't just-"

"No"

"Would you-"

"No"

"If you say no one more time I-" I started to warn Milo getting pissed

"No" Milo said while crossing his arms over his chest making me growl

When we woke up this morning everything was perfect. Milo was in my arms, I was playing with his hair while he was humming to himself, and I even forgot to charge my phone last night, so I didn't have to deal with the pack. I thought that it was a sign that everything was going to go well today, but the second I mentioned going outside to get something to eat Milo quickly proved me wrong

"We need to eat Milo, we didn't eat last night, and we basically skipped breakfast. I'm starving!" I exclaimed

"Weren't you the one who said we could spend three weeks in our room together" Milo pointed out

"That's was different, I didn't really mean it"

"Well now you know what you're not getting for your birthday anymore" Milo declared

"I don't care about... wait... we were going to have sex for three weeks as my birthday present?" I asked shocked

"I was already making plans to rent a hotel room, but it looks like i'll just have to think of something else" Milo announced

".... I mean.. wait no, we can talk about the whole vacation thing later, right now we need to eat babe"

"I don't want to see them down there, they're just going to say mean things about you all and I don't want to be there to hear it"

"You don't know that" I argued only to have Milo turn to me with a raised eyebrow "ok maybe you do know that, but you can't let your family stop you from eating. I need you to eat something"

"...I've been thinking about going on a diet recently" Milo announced making me narrow my eyes at him

"Milo... I'm not sure if you have a middle name Hartfield. If you don't get your butt out of that bed right now so help me goddess i'll-"

"Do what?" Milo asked making me go wide eyed "tickle me to death, we both know as my mate you won't cause me any harm, there's no point in making an empty threat" he declared while I glared at him before stomping towards the door

"Fine be that way, Mr. know it all prince of Atlantis!" I exclaimed about to leave the room

"I love you" Milo called out just as my hand reached for the door knob making me turn back to see him giving me a look that screamed 'don't be mad at me'

All I could do was sigh before shaking my head in defeat "I love you too babe" I said smiling at him only to have Milo return the smile "... i'll have one of the omegas bring you something to eat alright"

"Thank you"

"Yeah yeah, just make sure you don't get any crumbs on the bed" I warned before walking out the room only to find Harper standing in front of the door "of course"

"I didn't rush you did I" Harper pointed out as we started to walk down towards the kitchen

"I guess... so what's the damage" I asked bracing myself for all the calls I was going to have to make

"...none" Harper declared making me turn to her not sure if I heard right "I know, I was a little surprised too. You had a bunch of calls yesterday, but since you didn't pick up they called me instead, I explained to a few alphas about what was going on and for some reason no one else has called"
