Chapter 48: He Did What?

Once Lilliana and I finally got the king and rat man to calm down. I quickly hurried everyone into the car before the manager could ask us what was going on. How she even manages not to hear a single thing is beyond me, but I'm not complaining

'I still think I should've put that bastard back into his place" the king said still sounding annoyed just as I drove us into the garage and closed the door behind us

"It was just a simple rat man brother let it go" Lilliana said with a sigh looking drained after all we've been through

"D-do you think it'll be possible to see milo?" the queen asked as we all steeped out of the car making me turn to her. Looks like she knows what she wants to tell him

"Maybe" I shrugged as I lead them to the door "around this time he usually likes to get a snack so-" I started

"Leave me alone!" I suddenly heard milo shout making me quickly rush to where his scent was coming from only to find in the middle of the kitchen using his powers to make a large wall of water between him and his sisters

"Milo please we just want to talk"

"We're family"

"Milo you don't need to be like this, we all love you" I heard them say from behind the barrier making me glare at all of them

"Thirsty bitches"

Suddenly milo turned his head towards me looking relived

"Oh thank god" he said while walking towards me making me smile while holding my arms out ready to accept him in front of his sisters only at the last second milo walked right past me making me freeze on the spot with shock "I was worried when I heard you went out with them" milo declared making me turn around only to see he was hugging Lilliana

"It's ok, I'm alright" she said with a smile chuckle while I couldnt help but narrow my eyes at her stealing my hug

"hey iris" milo finally greeted me still holding onto his aunt while I was taken aback

"Hey?" I asked not sure if I heard right

Did he really just hey me... where the fuck was the love?

"You shouldn't-" the king started glaring down at milo and his sister

"Milo" the queen interrupted getting his attention

"What?" milo asked narrowing his eyes at her harshly finally letting go of his aunt while folding his hands over his chest

"I... I'm sorry" she said apologizing shocking everyone in the room

"juniper/mother" everyone exclaimed shocked while milo only stared at his mother wide eyed

"For the past 18 years I've been a terrible mother, and I can't apologize enough for my wrong doings" she declared wiping away a few tears before taking a deep breath "today the mut-.... Iris took your father and I to see just how you've been living while you were here... I had no idea we'd force you live that way because of our selfishness. You've told us time and time again that you did not wish to get married and while that might have been the childish rambling of a child at the time I should have known not to force anything upon you"

"From the moment you were born all I wanted was to give you all the happiness in the world, I never meant to hurt you and I never meant to make it seem as though I don't love you or care about your own feelings. I do, I was just blinded by my responsibilities and forced you away" the queen said still crying before doing her best to put on a smile "b-but if this house is what makes you happy... than even though it pains me, I won't force you to back home to Atlantis or take over the throne. You can do whatever makes you happy, because no matter where you are, you'll always be my little prince"
