You sat on the couch of you upstairs flatmate, he ask for you to come up. You knew he wanted help but he was to stubborn to admit it.
He was explaining the case using long complicated words you didn't care enough to focus on. You knew the basics of the case, the deaths.
-Two siblings of opposite gender cut up and cooked, evidence of sweets in their stomachs, which weren't cooked.
-A woman poisoned by an apple.
-And a grandmother and granddaughter chewed up, also a man with his stomach cut open and traces of the grandmothers and granddaughters flesh inside.
Sherlock couldn't figure out what connected them, and to be honest you couldn't at first. you had to think for a few moments.
"Sherlock it's obvious." You said, cutting him off.
He looked at you with annoyed eyes. "No it isn't, if it were I would know the connections by now."
"Sherlock, you don't know that the earth revolves around the sun." You retorted.
"Because it's not important information!"
You chuckled and stood up, moving to the door. "Fine, if I think it's obvious I'm probably wrong, aren't I?"
Sherlock but his bottom lip. "Tell me your theory." He sighed, feeling somewhat defeated.
"Fairytales." You stated simply.
"Useless knowledge."
"It's the Grimm fairytales. The brother and sister, Hansel and Grettle. The woman poisoned by an apple, Snow White. The grandmother, granddaughter, and the man, Little Red Riding Hood."
"But, from the kids stories Little Red Riding Hood didn't get eaten."
"Not the original, in the original her and her grandmother were eaten and saved by a lumberjack, I guess this time there was no lumberjack." You sighed and looked at him. "I guess it wasn't so useless after all."
You smirked and walked over to him. You tapped the underneath of his chin and spoke softly. "Goodbye Sherlock." you turned and started walking out.
"Uh, bye Y/n. Th-Thanks." He said softly, blushing a bit.
"Oh I get a thank you? I feel honored." You said dramatically before leaving.
He smiled a bit as you left. All the information he gathered about you wasn't useless after all.
