Adaline watched as her father lie on the cold concrete ground, and her mother sit up on the edge of the ambulance. Their skin tinged with blood. She thought for a split second of turning them into vampires, but then she realized how she didn't want this life, and how she would never wish it upon anyone else. The paramedics load them into separate ambulances. One of them alive. One dead.
She jumped into the ambulance with her mother. Distraught. Her mother barely getting any air.
"Mom" she cried. "Please don't leave me too. Stay here! Please! Where are the twins? Oh god are they alright?"
Her mother caressed her cheek. "I will be fine baby. I love you. Go to them"
She shook her head. "Are they alright mom? What happened to them?"
Her mom smiled. "I'm not sure dear, last time I seen them they were with him"
"Him?"
Her mothers eyes rolled back into her head.
The paramedic pushed Adaline out of the ambulance. "Shes coding, we need to get to the hospital!"
With that, they took off.
She was all alone besides Jared and Embry.
She was in shock. Her body couldn't move. She was frozen in place.
Jared grabbed her and rushed her into the car. "We got to go"
At the hospital, she was met by all the Cullens, Raphael, her brother Alec and a handful of the pack.
She was distraught. She ran toward where any of her family could be.
Jared stopped her.
"I'm so sorry Adi, I tried to save your parents. I tried my best" He started to cry. She was so focused on seeing them that she sort of brushed him off.
Outside room 361 was her brother. He was crying, along with many of the others. Adaline ran into the room and came upon a scene that was horrific.
Her mother, as well as her father, had died.
In the span of 2 hours, she had lost two family members.
Traumatized by this, she needed to see her children. Her two twin babies that she hadn't seen since she left. Thought ran through her head, were they dead to? How was she going to survive without them?
"Where are they?" She practically yelled at the others.
Nobody answered.
"Adaline wait, you should know-"
"WHAT?" She was frustrated beyond belief.
Raphael looked at her with sorrow, the others not making eye contact with her. All he did was point his head in the direction of down the hall.
As she made her way she could hear Alec and Raphael making their way behind her. They were saying something but she was too focused that she couldn't make it out.
This was the worst day of her life. And little does she know, it is about to get a whole lot worse.
There he was. Sitting there. Holding their children.
