"Shalom blogosphere! Jacob Ben-Israel here at McKinley High. Sudden death - big stakes senior year. Who will succeed and who will fail?" Jacob grinned in the middle of the hall once again to interview the Glee Club before their senior year began. "Finn Hudson. Mediocre quarterback. Mediocre Glee Club lead," Jacob said as he approached Finn at his locker as Finn made a face. "Is there supposed to be a point to this or?" Finn asked. "You tell me. It's your senior year, have you given any thought about your future?" Jacob asked as Finn looked sheepishly at the camera, the fact of the matter was, he hadn't.
Jacob then approached Mike, Tina, and Artie in the hallway. "My parents are hoping I get into one of the Ivy Leagues, after all I have been the top of my class all 3 years so far," Mike said. "And where are you applying?" Jacob asked Tina who shook her head. "I'm not. I'm only a junior" Tina said as she pointed to herself and Artie "We're both juniors. Mike's the only senior here," Tina said as Jacob looked surprised. "Hmph. I thought you were a senior," Jacob said confused. "Optical Illusion. The chair adds a year," Artie said honestly.
Cut to Kurt and Blaine holding hands in the hallway as Jacob approaches them. "So the rumors are true, that the New Directions has gotten a new member over the summer," Jacob said as he held the microphone out to Blaine. "Well I'm honored to be here at McKinley High. As much as I loved being at Dalton, I feel like I can help Kurt make a difference here at McKinley," Blaine said honestly. "Kurt, do you have any words of wisdom for us as reigning Prom Queen?" Jacob asked as Kurt rolled his eyes "No not since the last time you asked Jacob. Now go away. Blaine and I aren't interested in answering more of your asinine questions," Kurt said simply as Blaine shrugged.
Cut to the choir room where Rachel and Mercedes are warming up. "What are our plans for the future? Well I'll tell you mine. After high school I'm moving out to LA to try to get myself a record deal," Mercedes said. "Well I for one will be heading to the bright lights of Broadway. It has always been my destiny to become a success story," Rachel said confidently as Mercedes made a face.
Cut to the cafeteria where Jacob is interviewing Santana. "Senior year is all about being the Cheerios' top ho and modeling my fierceness after my numero uno latina, Paula Abdul," Santana smirked. "Paula Abdul is an Arab," Jacob corrected Santana before asking "Hey, has anyone seen Quinn Fabray?" Brittany then approached Santana. "Hi," Santana smiled. "Hey," Brittany grinned as they began to walk away together but Jacob stops them. "Oh, Brittany! What are your plans for the future?" Jacob asked as Brittany turned around shocked. "Wait, are you working on a time machine too?" Brittany asked as Santana gave her a look.
Cut back to Finn at his locker with Jacob. "I'm really excited about this year," Finn smiled. "Okay, cool," Jacob said as he walked off. Finn then began to walk down the hallway alone. "The truth is, I have no idea what I'm doing. I look around and everyone knows where they're headed, or at least what they want. I'm lost. It's like I can't even remember who I am anymore," Finn said in a voice over. "HEY!" One of the hockey players called out as a bunch of them slushied Finn. "Taste the rainbow glee-iatch!" One of the hockey players smirked as they all walked off. "Now I remember," Finn said in his voice over and he looked at himself covered in slushie.
Cut to the counsellor's office where Will knocks on the door as Emma is setting things up. "Hi," Will smiled. "Hi," Emma smiled back as Will kissed her then revealed the flowers. "I got these for you," Will said. "Oh will they're beautiful," Emma smiled smelling the flowers before putting them into a vase. "I just wanted to wish you a happy anniversary," Will smiled. "Will, you remembered," Emma said in awe. "Of course I did. I could never forget the anniversary of the day we met," Will smiled as he kissed Emma one more time. "I've got to get to Glee rehearsal this morning but I'll see you after school." Emma nodded as Will walked off, happy to be in a relationship with Will.
