Season 3, Episode 2 - Somewhere (I Am Unicorn Redone)

"So here's what you missed on Glee. Quinn's got a new look and a new attitude," the narrator said as clips of Pink haired Quinn began to play. Puck gave her a look. "This isn't you," he said. "It's the new me," Quinn corrected as she walked off. "Blaine joined the New Directions this year much to the dismay of Finn who thinks he's being replaced," the narrator said. "After Jesse made all those comments about me before and after Nationals I just have lost my confidence. I mean Blaine was so amazing with the Warblers...I'm just worried he'll like replace me," Finn frowned. "Rachel's kind of caught in a love square between Finn, Jesse, and her New York Dreams," the narrator said. "This is my dream being here in New York. I'm not gonna let anyone or anything keep me from it," Rachel frowned. "Although she kind lost sight of that when she kissed Finn and cost the New Directions Nationals where they got 12th place," the Narrator said as Finchel's kiss played as well as Will holding the trophy. "And that's what you missed on," the narrator said. "GLEE!" The voices sang out.

Cut to the choir room where the New Directions are all seated. "Guys I have some good news about this year's musical," Will said. "Please be Evita, please be Evita," Rachel whispered. "How would you guys feel about performing 'Hairspray'?" Mr. Schue smiled as the New Directions broke out into applause. "I was so born to play Tracy Turnblad!" Rachel grinned. "Who said you get the role automatically," Mercedes said giving Rachel a look. "There will be tryouts for the musical starting this afternoon. Unfortunately, I will not be in charge of the musical," Mr. Schue said as the New Directions gasped. "Who's going to be taking over?" Tina asked. "I'd like to introduce to you our Hairspray directors, Miss Pillsbury and Coach Beiste," Mr. Schue grinned as Miss Pillsbury and Coach Beiste entered the choir room. "Now, Ms. Pillsbury did such a good job helping me out with Rocky Horror last year that I knew she could handle the job," Mr. Schue smiled. "Mr. Schue, with all due respect to Ms. Pillsbury and Coach Beiste, this is crazy - they have absolutely zero experience in directing a musical," Rachel said shaking her head. "Not true: In college I was in "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. I played the forum," Coach Beiste corrected. "Besides that they are gonna have some help. I have decided to include a student director this year," Mr. Schue smiled. "Mr. Schue, I'm honored, but Barbra was forty when she directed herself in Yentl so it's just, it's too soon," Rachel said as Santana shot her a look. "I was actually hoping that Artie would take the job," Mr. Schue said as Artie looked shocked. "Me? Really?" Artie said surprised. "Well you've worked with the AV club. Plus the video you made with Mercedes, Coach Sylvester, and Kurt was such a massive hit I thought you could handle the job," Mr. Schue said as Artie looked unsure. "Come on, Artie. You've made short films. Directing is your dream. You can do it," Tina encouraged him as Artie thought about it. Maybe this was his chance to make something of himself. "Alright, I'm in," Artie smiled. "Alright. That's what I like to hear, buddy," Will smiled as everyone clapped for Artie.

"Now for the second matter at hand. It has come to my attention that some of you need a little extra help with your dancing, so I have enlisted Mike Chang to help me get some of you into tip top shape like..." Mr. Schue began. "Finn.." Finn sighed. "How did you know?" Mr. Schue said surprised "And Puckerman, Hummel." "I must protest," Kurt frowned. "You kinda have one move, Kurt. It's like this sashay," Mike said as he demonstrated "And it's super distracting." "Jones," Will said as Mercedes made a face. "What? Hell to the nizzy - no," Mercedes said folding her arms. "You told me once that you were Beyoncé. You don't think she spends extra time in the dance studio," Mr. Schue said as Mercedes sighed, maybe he had a point "We start tomorrow," Mr. Schue said as Puck raised his hand "And yes, Puckerman, it is mandatory." Puck put his hand down as he frowned. "Mr. Schuester, would you mind if I dropped by for a little bit. I really need to catch up with you guys," Blaine said honestly as Mr. Schue nodded approvingly. "Of course Blaine, the more the merrier," Mr. Schue smiled as Finn rolled his eyes now he was going have to be in dance class with Blaine, he knew it was going to be a long afternoon.
