"So here's what you missed on Glee. The Glee Club started out as underdogs, singing show tunes in the choir room, and now they're headed to Chicago to compete for a national championship," the narrator said as a clip of the New Directions first starting out began to play as well as their most recent competition. "I mean, they made it to Nationals last year in New York, but they came in 12th. It was sort of a nightmare," the narrator said as a clip of the New Directions from last years nationals played as well as their devastated looks when the lost Nationals. "Rachel's nightmare totally came true when she choked at her NYADA audition, and literally all she's talked about for three years is New York, Broadway, Streisand, Broadway," the narrator said as clips of Rachel talking about New York, Broadway, Streisand, and Broadway played. "Ugh! And that's what you missed on," the narrator said. "Glee!" The voices sang out.

Cut to the hallway of the hotel as Will is sitting nervously outside as Emma approaches him. "Hey. You okay?" Emma asked Will concerned. "What if we don't win? What's gonna happen with those kids?" Will asked upset. " It's a competition. They understand that everybody can't win," Emma said gently. "But they never get to win. School's almost over, forever for most of them. Can you imagine what what it would be like for them to have just a couple of days walking the halls as champions? It's something they would carry around with them for the rest of their lives," Will said shaking his head. "If you're gonna lead them to the promised land, you're gonna have to have an attitude adjustment," Emma said as Will sighed "But, Will, they're ready. You made 'em ready for three years." "But what if it wasn't enough?" Will asked as Emma opened her mouth to speak but they were interrupted by Coach Beiste and Shelby rushing over. "Will, you better come downstairs," Shelby said in a concerned tone. "We got a problem," Coach Beiste agreed as Will and Emma rushed into the room where the New Directions were rehearsing where everything has amounted into chaos.

"Guys you're seriously fighting about this now?" Quinn said annoyed to Puck and Sam who were shoving each other. "He's studying for geography while we're trying to rehearse! It's bogus!" Sam said annoyed. "'Cause I already know the dance! You dance like you got your feet caught in bear traps You're trying to gnaw them off," Puck smirked as Sam shoved Puck as Quinn tried to stop him but ended up getting knocked down. "Oh my God Quinn," Sam said upset that he had knocked her down. "You see what you did dumbass," Puck muttered as Quinn sighed. "I'm fine Puck. It's not like I haven't fallen down before," Quinn said as Sam helped her up. "Hey, calm down! Hey, hey, calm down! Calm down!" Will said breaking up the fight between Sam and Puck. "Fight, fight, fight!" Sugar cheered as Quinn gave her a look annoyed. "Mr. Schue, are you aware that while we're arguing about jazz squares, Unique is being handed the key to the city by Rahm Emanuel?" Kurt asked looking down at his phone. "And plus my pillow and my blanket fell into the pool. Disaster," Brittany said shaking her head. "Look, I think everybody is just a little tired. We've been rehearsing for three straight hours," Artie said honestly. "Yeah, and we'll rehearse all night if we have to. We can rest after we've won!" Finn exclaimed as the others agreed. "Pillsbury Dough Turd is right. If we want to keep up with Vocal Adrenaline we've got to practice as hard as they do. So do you want to win or not?" Santana exclaimed as Will took a deep breath.

"Listen to yourselves," Will said as Santana sighed. "I know. I'm sorry. I always go to the yelling place. I have rage," Santana said. "No, it's a good thing," Will said. "A great thing," Shelby agreed. "There is so much passion in this room Even all your arguing, it's about the work. You guys really want this," Will said as the New Directions nodded. They wanted to make a comeback like never before, especially after last years disappointing run at Nationals. "Okay, so let's take a half-hour break, and then we'll run it from the top," Will said to the New Directions. "Mr. Schue, is it okay if we keep going? We got the first slot, which is, like, the death slot. We have to be amazing," Tina asked. "Yeah, "Edge of Glory's" a bitch. I said I'd be dancing by nationals. I'll be damned if I don't," Quinn said honestly as Will nodded. "Okay, then let's keep going. Mike, help the guys out with the choreography," Will said as Mike stepped up to help the girls with the choreography "Artie, help Puck with his geography." Artie nodded as he went over to the corner with Coach Beiste to help Puck study for his geography exam. "Ladies, "Edge of Glory." Come on," Will said as the girls all lined up. "Brittany, run us through it," Shelby said. "From the chorus?" Brittany asked. "Yeah, from the chorus. Let's do it," Shelby smiled. "Watch out. We're gonna do it," Brittany grinned. "Okay. Ready? Five, six, seven, eight," Will counted them in as the girls started dancing. "One, two, three, four, five..." Will began as Quinn was still tripping over her feet trying to do the routine. "You okay?" Will asked. "Six, seven, eight. One, two, three, four Keep up," Shelby shouted at the girls as Quinn sighed still trying to get back on her feet with the performance. She was determined now more than ever to make it work at Nationals no matter how much it cost her.
