Still Full of Fear

Singing sweetly in the snow.

Drifting down, humming soft and low.

Staying silent so they don't hear,

All your worry, all your fear.

Hugging quietly in the cold.

Breeze blowing soft, doing what it's told.

Making no sound so they don't hear,

Your thumping heartbeat, beating fear.

White surroundings, nothing clear.

Frozen fingers, frozen ears.

Frozen heartache, frozen tears.

Staying silent, so they done hear.

Your last breath, still full of fear...

Author's Note:

This is a throwback to last year, when all I wrote was really sad poems. I went through this phase where everything I wrote was very depressing and messed up. So here is a poem I wrote last year!
