Where did I go wrong?

Lydia's POV

I stormed up to my room and slammed the door. I can never keep anything to myself without it being destroyed by my inane siblings. I wish I was an only child. A storm of footsteps fled away from my door and I just realized I said that out loud.

Oops

Phone rings

"Hello?" I asked setting up my shower. A smile appeared on my face as I realized who it was

"Hey chocolate how are you?" My boyfriend Brian asked over the phone. I could feel a blush appear on my cheeks at the foolish nickname.

"Bri you know I hate that nickname" I complained on the phone. That nickname was suppose to represent my chocolate hair. I let out a laugh and a cry was heard from the other room. I groaned and covered my ears

"Is that Jacob?" Brian asked

"Yea the one and only. I wish I was an only child"

"You don't mean that. There's your family and you love them." He explained. I thought for a moment when another cry was heard. As of right now

"I don't know what I feel"

"That's what you feel like now. But when you see there smile, laugh, how amazingly crazy they are. You'll feel something else."

"I guess so"

"Go take your shower"

"How did you know I was taking a shower?"

"You always take a shower around this time"

"I love you" I said imagining the obvious smirk on his face

"I love you to chocolate"

Hangs up

I stripped myself o my pajamas and stepped inside the burning water. It cleansed my skin of the redness from stress. I get those a lot. And a nice hot shower does the job. I stepped out of my shower and put on some cozy pajamas. I cuddled with my cover and fell asleep

Johnny's POV

Mackenzie and I were prepping dinner for our children. Four I might add. I began to cut the tomatoes for the salad when something caught my attention. It was quiet

To quiet

"Kenz?" I called my beautiful wife. She turned around her luxurious brown hair flipping in the air. Her eyes stared at me curiously as I was lost in them

"Yea John?" She asked turning back around. I could feel the smirk on her face from my cocky behavior.

"It's quiet"

She ceased her cooking and turned off the stove. We both stood still for a moment before a wave o concern filled me. I gently set m knife down and began to walk upstairs.

"Kids time for a snack" I yelled throughout the house. But there was no response. I repeated my gesture but the same reply

Nothing

Mackenzie and shared a look before darting upstairs and searching all the rooms. Each was a mess but a mess without it's perpetrator. I ran across the hall to my eldest room. I slightly opened the door to see her sleeping soundly in her bed. I let out a relieved sigh before closing the door.

"Babe I can't find them anywhere" Mackenzie cried wrapping herself in my arms for comfort. I squeezed her tightly We broke apart and we darted to a phone. The police were called and out kids WILL be found.

Knock at door

My heads were buried into my hands uselessness overtaking me. A knock at the door filled the silence and we darted up suspecting who it is. I slammed open the door and a man in uniform filled my eyes.

"My children left the house and we have no idea where they went" Mackenzie cried begging the police man to do something

"We have one of our best teams out searching. Can we get a description or picture of what the children looks like.

(You know what they look like)

Mackenzie ran to the photo album under the television set. It was a dusty purple book with a glued baby shoe on it. Mackenzie thought it bring it style.

"Here this is Mable, Jacob and Melanie. There very young and they don't know what to do in this s-situation" She broke down in tears and feel to her knees. I bent down to pick her up and carried her to the couch. I invited the officer in and closed the door.

Lydia's POV

(3 hours later)

I was sleeping soundly and peacefully when a blue light filled my eyes. I scrunched my nose and rubbed my eyes. I walked over to the window and looked outside. There were three police cars parked by out pool.

"MOOOOM!DAAAD!" I screamed awaiting my answer. Footsteps were heard running up the stairs and I quickly went to open my door

"Why are the police outside? What's going on? WHAT'S HAPPENING?!" I screamed as questions overflowed my head. My breathing began to slow down as I failed to get oxygen

"Baby please calm down and take a seat. You need to breathe sweet heart" My mom said as my dad carried me to my bed. A took nice slow breaths and I started to feel better.

"Lydia your sisters and brother left home. We have the police here to HELP and try to find them"

Her words hurt like a knife. Tears started to form in my eyes as I drop to my knees. This is all my fault. This wouldn't of happened if I just left it alone.

This was all my fault

"This is all my fault" I cried, there gone because of me

"Sweetheart it's not your faul-"

"YES IT IS! MY SIBLINGS RAN AWAY BECAUSE I BRING SUCH A B****! THIS IS ALL MY FAULT AND I'LL NEVER GET TO SEE THEM AGAIN BECAUSE THERE PROBABLY"

I didn't have the strength to finish that sentence. They can't be dead, they can't be. There to young and innocent to face the cruel reality we call life. I sighed in my hands and felt a pair of warm arms wrap around me

Knock at door

"We have a lead" The man started. His expression dropped and he clutched his hat that he took of his head once he came in.

"Where is it? Where are my children?"

"There was a call if a kidnapping near 81 Washington street. Two girls and one boy. All seem around the age you described"
