"This is the room here. Now before we allow you to go in we want to warn you this isn't a sight we let just anyone witness. Prepare yourself."

Let's just say for this sight,

I wasn't prepared

Mackenzie's POV

I stood there shocked. There laid Johnny. A tube down his throat, machine to his right. Bruises covered his body like the chicken pox would cover your skin. It was cringe worth, it was heart breaking. It was Johnny

"Ms. Ziegler, Mr. Orland-"

"Johnny. Call him Johnny" I interrupted. He nodded his head in understandment before speaking again.

"Johnny had a had hit during the plane accident. He hit his head hard enough for him to go into temporary sleep. Or street name, coma" He finalized

"S-so he's in a coma. He won't wake up?" I spat.

"Not exactly. If we can preform surgery on Mr. Orlando we might be able to have his brain function right again. He won't be living off of the machine anymore. He can be ok again. But that's a risk only your allowed for us to take" He explained. A spark went off in my chest. The feeling it represents is unknown. I'm happy he's alive but then there's a risk.

Am I willing to take it?

"Ms. Ziegler? Your d-"

"Mrs. Orlando. I should have corrected you before" I interrupted once again. He looked taken back before starting his sentence again.

"Mrs. Orlando, your decision?" He asked. I thought for a moment. What will I get out of this. If I do Johnny has a chance of living. But he might die. If I don't he's better of dead than in a life machine. And that's not a thing that I'll want to risk

"We'll go through with the surgery"

At her room

It's been an hour since I've seen Johnny. An hour since my world completely went to hell. They said I could leave but if you believe me or you don't I kinda forgot how my feet work. Do I walk out of the hospital probably never seeing the love of my life again. Or do I stay here, waiting on the news where he is ok. Where he will wake up eventually and get old then we can go back home and take care of our-

"Daughter. Jodi" I exclaimed rushing out of bed to the nearest phone. Down the hallway and to my right was the waiting area. I might have looked crazy running out with a hospital robe on. But if I don't get to my daughter soon  crazy isn't gonna begin on how I'm gonna act.

"Excuse me ma'am can I please use your phone? I really need to reach my daughter." I asked the nearest person. She had crow colored hair with green eyes. Kinda like Johnny's. I was mesmerized by the resemblance that I didn't even notice she was staring back at me

"I'm sorry" We both said at the same time. She handed me the phone and I immediately dialed the first number that came to mind. It rung, and it eung, and it rung

"Hello?" They spoke on the other end. A big wight lifted off of my chest as a person would on a swing. It's not carrying the weight the person provides

"Carson? Oh my god is she ok?" I rushed.

"Mackenzie? Oh my god where have you been? It's been like 2 days what's doing on?" Carson rambled on the phone. I held the phone to my ear with both my hands finding a response

"Johnny's in the hospital. The plane crashed and Johnny got hit bad. H-he's in a coma and I don't k-know what to do." I cried. I looked over to the owner of the phone and I could see the sympathy in her eyes. They crystals with sadness. Somewhat like Johnny's.

"Kenz? KENZIE!?!" Carson yelled through the phone. I snapped out of my trance and continued my conversation.

"I'm on my way. Stay were you are" He announced before hanging up the phone. I hesitantly have her phone back slowly the ing away.

"Hey h-hello?" The woman said running up to me

"Oh um. How can I help you?" I asked facing towards her. She had an uneasy expression on her face.

"I overheard your conversation on the phone and I-I just wanted to say that your not alone. My brother was on the flight that crashed a few days ago. I'm sorry about his condition" He said. My chest tightened at the response. A smile creeped up her face before she did the only thing imaginable. She hugged me

"I wish you and your husband the bed tryng of luck. I don't know what I would do if I lost Arty." She whispered I to my ear. I've finally calmed down into the hug taking in the scent of her hair. Just the look of it really industry me of Johnny. They were similar it's crazy

"Thank you. So much" I whispered back. She pulled away before nodding her head and walking back to her seat. I turned around to my room waiting anxiously for Carson to come.

1 hour later

"Yes she's in room 213"

"Mackenzie?" A voice asked waking me out of my sleep. I squinted my eyes looking to where the voice came from. There There I saw a tall blonde and next to him a smaller one

"MOMMY!!" She screamed jumping onto the bed and into my lap. Realising who the voice belonged to I immediately hugged back tears forming in my eyes but But I didn't dare let them slip

"Come on Mackenzie. It's time to go home"

The next morning

I woke up to a sharp pain in my stomach. I quickly wiped my fresh tears from minutes ago and ran quickly to the bathroom. After about 5 minutes of vomiting I made my way back to my bed. My mother always told me crying was poisonous.

Phone rings

"Hello?"

"Yes is this Mackenzie Ziegler?"

"Yes this is she"

"Hello. This is Dr. Meyer speaki-"

"Oh wow. Doctor hi"

"Hello Mrs. Ziegler"

"Please Mrs . Orlando. I have got to remember to change that"

"Yes well I was wondering if you could make your way down to the hospital?"

"I could but is everything alright?"

"There seems to be a problem with your husbands surgery"
