The boy felt happier than he had done in a long time.
His weekend work at the library got him out of the house for a while, and he loved being around so many books.
He hummed quietly to himself as he stacked books neatly back on the shelves and found different books for customers as they requested them.
The boy saw Vinny working on his project in the corner and smiled to himself.
For the first time in years, the boy had a friend. True, he couldn't tell anyone, but he liked having that knowledge to himself; his own little secret from his parents.
The boy finished his work quickly, and went back to the office to fetch his rucksack.
He went and sat with his friend and pulled out his project.
