Chapter 4: 4am calls

Olivia and Stephanie are in Andrei's party and there's a lot of kids in there. There's loud music thumping, drunk teenagers swimming by the pool, there's high kids probably somewhere too. "So, Liv. Why didn't you bring your friend, what's her name?" said Jaycee

"Oh yeah, why didn't you take her? She's quite cute you know" Flora asked

"Julian? Cute? Right" said Olivia chugging the bitter drink

"It's better like this, Olivia's the hottest in the house. No competition" said Kyle who was seating next to Olivia "Ain't that right, babe"

"Excuse me, bitches but in case your forgetting it's my birthday. So, I'm the Queen. Liv darling give this day to me" said Andrei

"By the way, are you two a thing yet?" George asked Kyle and Olivia

Kyle grinned at Olivia "Well, I'm just waiting for her"

"No, we're not" said Olivia removing Kyle's arm around her

"Why not?"

Julian's face flashed before Olivia's eyes and realised she can never be with Kyle because she already have a fiancé. And if her dad found out, he'll freak. Her friends doesn't know her relationship with Julian yet.

"Yeah, Liv. Why not?" asked Stephanie leaning closer to her boyfriend

Olivia was put on the spot "Well, I'm an old romantic" she explained

"What does that even mean?" asked Kyle

"It means, she wants you to work for her" Stephanie explained

"Work?" asked Kyle

"Ugh... you're so stupid. She wants to be wood" Andrei explained "I like that! George how comes you never wood me?"

"Do people still do that?" Kyle asked "I mean, that's for like old people and shit. But if that's what you want then, everything for you"

Hours later and the group already had a couple of drinks and they're now tipsy "Liv, it's late. I think we should go" Stephanie asked her friend

"What?! You're such a party pooper. I'm still enjoying" replied Olivia taking another sip form her drink

"Yeah, steph. We're still having fu—" Andrei threw up breaking the mood.

Minutes later and guests started to leave "Where's Kyle? I though he's driving you home?" asked Stephanie but Olivia was blacked out. Her boyfriend had to leave early so, there's no one to drink them back and her phone died. "Give me your phone" she said and called someone.

Meanwhile, Julian woke up from her sleep when she heard her phone ring. She's in her study so, she was confused at first "Hello?" she answered. She checked her watched and saw it's 4 am.

Minutes later she arrived in the address and saw Olivia and Stephanie by the pavement "Hey, sorry to call you but you were the first one I saw on her phone. I don't know where she lives now, so"

"It's ok" Julian replied and helped the other girl get in the car. "Do you need a ride home?" she asked Stephanie

"It's ok" the girl replied "I called for an Uber already" When they got back Olivia was still asleep and she wreaked from the scent of alcohol. Julian carried in her bedroom and laid her on the bed "hey, wake up. You need to change"

The girl just groaned at her making Julian sigh

"Why do you drink too much when you know you have low alcohol tolerance?" Julian whined and went to the bathroom to get a towel and water. "Hey, can you at least seat up?"

To her surprise Olivia was still responsive and tried to get up. So, now she's leaning on the head board "If you peak, I will kill you" she warned quietly

"Peak at what?" Julian joked earning a smack from the other girl

"Just hurry up, I want to go to sleep" said the girl and closed her eyes. Julian started to take of the girls' clothes and now she's only on her underwear. She gulped at the sight of the other girls' body. "I look hot, aren't I?" Olivia teased

"You wish. I'm hotter" Julian replied, 'Literally hot right now, who turned the temperature up?' She continued wiping the girl but then Olivia suddenly vomited on Julian. "You're such a pain, you know that?"

So, she carried the girl to the other bedroom, her bedroom because she was too tired to carry her downstairs to the other guestrooms.

"I swear if you puke on my bed" said Julian but Olivia was already knocked out. So, she finished cleaning up the girl, the other room and had to take another bath. She emerged from the bathroom and saw Olivia laying soundlessly on her bed

'Hmm... she's actually cute sometimes' she thought. She didn't realise her she was kneeling on the floor now beside Olivia.

She tucked a strand of hair on the other girls' ear "You know you haven't changed that much since we were kids" she said softly

She studied the girls' face, her long curled eyelash, her cute nose, and her kissable pink lips.

"You're still that reckless and bratty Olivia. Ever since we were kids, I was always being the one taking care of you. I'm sorry I left though" she paused when she heard a small noise coming from Olivia

She smiled reminiscing the memories she and Olivia had when they were kids. Like running down the rice fields, playing house, or having sleepovers. They've always been inseparable, but Julian and her family had to move.

"I'm sorry for leaving you back then, but I'm here now. And I will do everything to make you happy"

She took one final glance at the sleeping girl and pecked her forehead

"I hope you can forgive me" she said standing up still looking at the girl "I love you so much"
