"Okay, how do I look?" I asked Sophie as I walked outta my room. Tomorrow was kentrell's birthday so his friends threw a house party for him and I was already late but I just wanted to make sure I looked right for him. Bree and sky were already there because you already know they had to be hugged up under their stank ass boyfriends instead of helping me out and Sophie still hadn't come clean about baby joe so I'm sure that's the only reason why she's here right now.

I turned around in my outfit so Sophie could see. Since it was cool outside, I wore a pair of my high waisted GAP jeans, a tight fitted, white, long sleeve crop top and my hair was wet from my shower, which I didn't feel like straightening so I was gonna wear it in its natural curl pattern. She nodded as she check out my outfit

"You look stunning chicá. Kentrell's gonna be all over you"

"Whatever" I laughed and went back into my room, turning the music off. I grabbed my lip balm and rubbed some across my lips before stuffing it inside my purse then turned my room light off "let's go cause we're already late"

"Gracie, it's only 10:30" Sophie laughed as I locked up as we left out the house. We hopped into her car and headed to kentrell's house. While Sophie drove, she reached into a compartment and pulled out something. When she put it to her lips I realized it was a blunt and I looked at her funny

"Sophie, since when did you start smoking weed?"

"Since I learned that it helps calm your nerves" she responded, trying light the blunt while driving. Once she finally got it, she put the lighter down and deeply inhaled before taking the blunt from her lips, reaching it over to me

"No, I think I'm good"

"No, Gracie you need to try this. Forreal! Especially with all the shit that's happened in your life so far. You need a reliever" Sophie told me before coughing a little. "Trust me Gracie. Have I ever put you in any dangerous situation before? No!"

"Uhhh Yeah! You had me riding around in a car full of complete strangers for TWO days"

"And you should thank me, cause now you're all boo'd up with one of them" She smiled. I rolled my eyes and looked down at the blunt. Everything I do some risky shit with Sophie, something ends up happening. But I guess it's worth a try

"Give it here" I took the blunt from her and pressed it to my lips, deeply inhaling

"Girl you about to fry your lungs up already" she laughed and I handed it back to her, feelings my lungs get cloudy, literally! I started coughing as I exhaled and Sophie burst into even more laughter

"What the hell sophie" I fanned the air around me as I continued to cough and she continued to crack up

"You'll get used to it. I'm surprised you not used to kentrell doing it around you"

"He knows I don't smoke so he rarely does it around"

"Hmmm, he really likes you" Sophie mumbled and continued driving. After a while, we ended up at kentrell's place and it was beyond packed. Cars lined down the road, the music was loud and people were everywhere. Sophie parked as close as she could get and we hopped outta the car, walking into the yard. I got a couple of stares from people that stood around talking and I saw some faces that I remember from high school. Damn it was so many people

"Graceee!" I heard Ben's annoying ass yell as he walked up to us, roughly hugging me

"What I told you bout calling me that asshole?" I asked laughing, pushing him back. I could smell liquor on his breath so he was obviously drunk
