It's been a few months and I swear it felt like life couldn't get any better for me. Kentrell and I have been so happy and so have everyone else

"Am I supposed to throw a card out now or what?" I asked, holding the handful of cards as I sat on kentrell's lap at his kitchen table. Ben smacked his lips and Kentrell snatched the cards from me

"Ion know why you let Gracie ass play knowing she'on know how to play spades" Ben said to kentrell and I laughed

"Y'all better leave me alone okay"

"You ain black shawty" Ben told me, shaking his head

"Y'all better leave my cousin alone. She don't know no better" sky defended me while she walked over to the table, taking her seat beside Ben again. The door opened and we could hear baby joe and Sophie talking as they walked into the house. A few seconds went by and they walked into the kitchen. Baby joe walked in first and Sophie followed behind with her work outfit on, her belly poking through her shirt. She was 5 months pregnant now and she makes it known everyday that she's tired of being pregnant. Her hair was tied up and she looked tired as hell

"Waddup lil Mexico" Kentrell said as he chucked his chin up at her

"Hey y'all" Sophie spoke lowly as she sat her pocketbook down on the counter and walked over to the table, rubbing her belly

"How's Auntie's baby?" Bree asked, placing her hand on Sophie's belly as well and she smacked her lips

"She getting on my damn nerves. Been kicking all day"

"Probably tryina fight yo ass for all them ugly ass names you tryina give her" Boomer spike with a laugh and Sophie smacked her lips

"Those names weren't ugly. And besides, I'm not using those names anyways. I already got another name picked out instead"

"We ain naming my baby no damn Selena" baby joe told her while he sat on the counter, opening a Pepsi can. Sophie rolled her eyes and looked back at him

"YES WE ARE"

"You really pushing it with this Selena obsession" Sky told her and I laughed as my pager went off. I pulled it off of my waistband and April, Darren's mom's number showed up.

"Who that?" Kentrell asked, looking over my shoulder at my pager

"April" I spoked, still looking at the number. I haven't heard from her since I found out about Darren having a whole baby on me. Kentrell rose his eyebrow

"Who?"

"Darren's momma"

"What she callin you fa?"

I shrugged and got up off of his lap, going over to his phone. I took a breath before dialing the number off of the pager and after two rings, someone picked up the phone

"Hello?" April's voice spoke lowly into the phone

"Hey Ma. It's me, Gracie"

"Oh Gracie! Hey sweetheart. How have you been? It's been months since I've heard from you"

"I've been great actually. How are you?"

"It's been... wild. But recently things started brightening up" April laughed a little "Are you busy right now?"

"Uh" I bit my lip and looked back at Kentrell, who was still playing spades with they guys "I'm just hanging around"

"Well if you can, can you stop by my house? I think it's time we catch up on some things"
