Alice scrunched up her face as she concentrated on forming a ball of energy with only her bare hands. She curved her fingers just as she had been instructed but she barely produced enough current to give someone a static electricity shock. "This is bullshit." She pointed to Hat's bitchy great-aunt, Mara, on the other side of the room. "I think she's just ripping on me."
"She better not be." Davidson pointed his Glock at the sorceress and scowled. Mara's leg irons shackled her to the floor, but Davidson's protective nature prevented him from taking any chances whenever Alice shared a room with a dangerous traitor.
