DISCLAIMER: If you're sensitive to the topic of mental illness, murder, or death don't read this chapter.
Jimin looked at me as if he had something to say. I started to get shifted in my seat.
Please don't mention anything about your unfinished business.
"What did that girl want? I'm guessing she left because I don't see her." Jimin shrugged.
"She wanted my old teddy bear. She was contorted and covered in blood. I gave her the bear and she turned into a normal little girl and left." I stared at the dresser where the teddy bear used to sit.
"That was her unfinished business. She came here for the teddy bear because it was important to her, and when you gave it to her she was able to rest peacefully." Jimin said.
But what did she want with MY teddy bear? I don't recall meeting a little girl in pigtails. Maybe she died in this house...
I jumped up to grab my laptop and sat back down on the window seat. I typed in my address and the words "little girl death" in hopes to find something.
"What are you looking for?" Jimin leaned closer to the screen.
"I'm researching my house. I think she may have died here and came back for that reason." My eyes widen as I find an old news report with this exact address and the same little girl.
The news report reads:
10-17-03
10 year old Yui Hinata was murdered by her 70 year old grandmother Mao Sakura. Yui was left home alone with her grandmother while her parents went out of town to visit a sick family member in the hospital, and wouldn't be back in 3 days.
Police say the Mao had bipolar disorder. She was supposed to take her medicine to help calm her episodes but she hasn't done so in a week.
Mao went to grab a knife from the kitchen and stabbed Yui in her sleep. The last thing the child held was her teddy bear reportedly named Cuddles.
Mao has been sent to a mental facility for the time being.
Yui's parents say they had forgotten to help Mao take her medication, as they were stressed out about the sick family member.
The family shortly moved away after Yui's funeral.

I shut my laptop and sat there, trying to process what happened. Jimin looked as shocked as I did."But how did you manage to get the teddy bear?" Jimin said.
"We moved into this house in July of 2010, 7 years after Yui died. I was 8 years old when we moved in. My parents say they found the teddy bear in the house when we first bought it. My mother thought it had juice spilled on it, but I'm guessing it was really blood." I grimaced at the thought.
I can't believe I had a teddy bear that someone held when they were murdered and I also can't believe my mom thought the blood was juice.
"I can't believe someone died here. And I'm pretty sure this was her room at the time because this is the place my mom found the bear" I shook my head in disbelief, still in shock over what I've read.
I don't feel safe here anymore. What if other people died here? What if they come back and haunt our house?
"I guess I won't be sleeping tonight." I sighed. Coincidentally it started to rain. I stared at the droplets falling on the window.
"Do your parents know about Yui?" Jimin said.
"Clearly not, considering my mom thought the blood on the teddy bear was juice." I curled up and rested my chin on my knees.
"Are you going to tell them?" Jimin said.
"Definitely not. They'd start arguing over the teddy bear and the fact that we bought a house that someone died in." I frantically shook my head.
"At least they'd have something worth arguing about." Jimin shrugged his shoulders and I laughed.
"Well you're not wrong." I said.
