I miss the stars
The stars that would
Stare down at you
As you stared back
At them
Wondering
Dreaming
I miss the stars
How they
Made you feel
How they shined
The constantly changing
Shining stars
In the navy sky
I miss the stars
Peaceful
That's how
They made you feel
Watching them
Hardly moving
Barely breathing
I miss the stars
I want to see them
With all that I am
Because one day
I won't see the stars
They will have
Disappeared
I miss the stars
The stars
Will blur out
One by one
As we destroy
The thing we reach for
The thing we hope to achieve
I miss the stars
They say
"Reach for the stars"
But how can I do that
When there are
No stars
To reach
