Harry thinks he's awake, but he isn't sure. Everything is dark and cold, but he can't make himself shiver. Voices are talking somewhere nearby, but he can't make out what they're saying. He desperately tries to understand them, to make himself wake up and see who it is talking, but he can't. Harry is trapped in his own mind.

He's never felt lonelier.

Time passes, he thinks. An hour? A day? A minute? Who knows. Harry continues drifting between states of unconsciousness, without ever fully waking up.

He comes close though, when he hears a woman crying. Harry can't tell who it is, but it's a familiar sound that makes his gut twist in sadness. All he knows is that he needs to wake up and comfort her.

It takes every ounce of strength in his weak body and mind, but Harry manages to move his eyelids. Slowly they flutter open, bright white light assaulting them.

As much as he doesn't want to, he can't help it when he shuts them again.

"Harry?"

He wants to answer, to apologize for all the stress he's causing everyone with his illness, but can't quite remember how to make his lips move.

Everyone in the room starts talking at the same time, and it's overwhelming.

"Harry?"

"Love?"

"Harry?"

"Haz?"

"Wake up, Baby."

"Please."

Harry can hear the desperation in all of their voices, and it makes him feel so guilty. He doesn't know who these mystery voices belong to, but his heart aches for them.

More time passes, and Harry hears the voices again. This time, he understands them clearly and knows exactly who they belong to.

"This isn't fair Louis," the woman whispers.

"Shh... I know. Come hear Anne."

Harry feels like he's been punched in the stomach and he can't take this.

He sits up fast. Too fast and a wave of dizziness hits him.

"Oh my God, baby. You're okay!" Anne chokes out. She was wrapped in Louis' embrace, her words muffled by his sweater.

The lights are bright. Too bright.

"Harry?"

His head throbs from the evil white lights.

"Love?"

"Harry?"

"Harry!"

Harry's grateful for a moment when the lights start to fade off. Then he's hit with a wave of panic because he realizes that he's the one fading off.

The pounding in his head is too much to bear. He tries to scream. He's scared. So scared, and wants his mum and Louis to come hold his hands. He wants to tell them he loves them, because he isn't sure what dying feels like, but he knows he doesn't quite feel alive.

He thinks he's screaming, but confusion washes over him, because his lips are still pressed shut. But he defiantly hears screaming.

The last thing he can hear is Louis frantically crying out, "Nurse! We need a Nurse in here! He's having another seizure!"
