Her alarm clock had turned to midnight. She knew the sister was already out there. She breathed in and out before quietly heading downstairs. She went to the garden and there stood the furious sister.

"This ends now!" The sister yelled "You're not an angel!" Laura had never actually fought before. She closed her eyes and saw the cardinal. She remembered their first kiss. She opened her eyes and walked to the sister. She handed her habit to the other sister, but kept her cross on. Laura kept everything on. Laura clinched her fists.

"Getting cocky?! I'll let you have first swing. Go on" She said taunting her. Laura yelled and landed a punch on her face. She watched the sister. As she held her bleeding nose, Laura saw her tattoo on her neck. She was a former sister of sin. The sister winced in pain and tried to swing at Laura, but missed. After about 20 minutes, they were both bloody and covered in sweat.

"Do I make myself clear?" Growled the sister.

"Crystal, bitch!" Laura yelled. She went back inside and packed her things. No one ever said she had to stay for the entire five days. Laura heard Cardinal's voice from their phone call and backed out of leaving. She washed her face and looked in the mirror. She now has a huge scar going down her face. She built up the courage to go talk to her.

She went to the sisters room and knocked.

"Back for more, hm?" She said kinda mad.

"I just saw your tattoo and realized you're a former sister of-" The sister cut her off as she shut her door.

"Fine, you found out" She said is defeat.

"Why are you here? What did you do?" Laura asked politely.

"When I was at that church, I could never get anyone's attention. One night I snapped and destroyed a statue of Satan. I blamed him for everything and I still do. He is truly the route of all evil" The sister explained as if it were nothing.

"But you've doomed your-" Laura cut her off.

"YOU THREATENED ME" Laura yelled with much rage. She had her bag on her back.

"Leave. This is war" The sister threatened.  Laura ran downstairs and found where they were hiding her things. She threw her habit on the road and fixed herself. She called Cardinal. It ran three times then he answered in a sleep voice.

"Laura?" He yawned a bit.

"Cardinal, we have a problem..." She said as she walked back.

"What is it, darling?" He said more awake.

"It....it....we're at war..." She said ashamed of herself.

"Before I continue, what happened?" He asked in a deep quiet voice.

"A sister here threatened me" She says calmly.

"First, stay where you are, I'm picking you up. Second, this is not your fault, babe. We will explain to Papa what happened. Be there in a few." He hung up. Laura checked her phone. It was 1:12am. Dark. Too quiet, but very warm out. She stood in front of the church and waited for an hour then Cardinal pulls up. She opens the passenger side door and he is still in his pj's. Just a tank top and shorts.

"It's over, darling. For now. But before you worry, I won't be fighting. We have warrior ghouls and Papa Nihil will be fighting. Don't worry" He sounded more scared than she was. She put her things in the back and got in. She was tense and Cardinal put a hand on her thigh.

"We will be okay, as long as we have faith" He said with a smile. Laura smiled and looked out the window and saw the sister staring her down from her bedroom window, putting her finger to her throat and mouthing "You're dead". He drove off, but Laura's mind swam. What will happen to her church?
