haechan couldn't believe his eyes. he couldn't believe his ears. he just couldn't think that any of this was a reality. here she was. soaking in all her glory. the girl of his dreams. oh, in his dreams.

gia couldn't stop shaking. she couldn't stop crying either. after all these years that she thought that he was gone, he was alive after all.

he was here. okay and well. he was there, standing in the flesh. he looked more handsome than ever before. he had grown up to be a man. gia couldn't believe that it was actually him.

"s-so, my real name is donghyuck? haha, th-that can't be. please tell me that it isn't true. please tell me that this was still just a dream." the boy grabbed giana's hand. her heart skipped a beat. his touch was still the same, even after all those years.

her body shook as the tears fell harder. she couldn't choke up the words that she was wanting to say for four years.

i love you. i missed you. why were you gone for so long? yes! your real name is donghyuck! yes! you knew me! you loved me.

god, those word were so simple but they meant the entire world. and she couldn't say them.

the world felt buzzy. through her tears, she looked up at the boy who was dead, just seven minutes ago.

"yes. you're real name is dongi-" she couldn't finish her sentence, because her eyes rolled to the back of her head and darkness took over her.

haechan sighed. he ruffled his hair. was this really a good idea? he asked himself at least twenty times, before opening the door to his apartment. he took a glance at his shoulder. the girl was still knocked out.

after she had fainted after crying so much, haechan screwed himself for having such a big heart. i mean, he wouldn't do this for any other person. though he couldn't help but feel like his head and heart were trying to tell him something.

he let out a long breath as he entered his bedroom. he slowly let down the girl on his bed. he was already two steps out of his door when he heard her shuffling around. he threw a glance at her. her hair was now out of her face, and he could take a good look at her.

his heart beat started to thump, louder and louder the longer he stared at her. he was afraid that she would hear it and wake up.

she was the epitome of beauty. her tan skin glowed against the shimmering light of the rain. her eyelashes were long and rested prettily against her rosy cheeks. her lips were the perfect shade of pink and red. the lip gloss she wore made it seem even more plump. her long brown hair surround her head and laid against his pillows like long strands of flowers.

haechan held his breath.

she looked exactly like the little girl in his dreams.

something red and flashy caught haechan's eye. in her hand, she held onto it tightly. like it was her heart that she hesitated to let go. he reached for it, careful not to wake her up.

haechan took a deep breath when he saw that it was the red rope that he thought he'd lost.

it had been with her, all this time.

haechan groaned. his eyes fluttered open. he wished that it was a new day. he kind of wished that the girl sleeping on his bed, didn't exist.

not that he didn't like her. of course he knew that she was the missing piece in his mess of a head. he knew that she was the key to finding everything out. but, he couldn't help but feel just a tiny bit sad.

if his dreams really were memories, everything, his whole life would be a lie. all his memories that he thought he had, wouldn't be real. they would just be something his mother would have made up for him.

if she revealed everything, and with proof, haechan really would have been named donghyuck. he would have been in love with this girl, and he would have died in that car crash. he would have to become that whole other person. and that was too scary for him.

he collected all this thoughts and stashed them away for the time being. he rubbed his eyes. suddenly spit was caught in his throat.

"OH MY GOD!" he proclaimed, as he held his neck. his coughs became agressive.

"OH!" the girl rushed over to him with wide eyes. by hitting his back several times, the boy was finally able to start breathing properly. he gulped, this time finally swallowing all his spit.

"wh-what were y-you doing? w-" the boy stuttered. he wasn't used to someone staring at him when he had just woken up. it was different. but surprisingly similar to a feeling that he's felt before. he just couldn't touch on it.

"i'm sorry for inconvenience donghyu-"

"it's haechan." he snapped. he didn't want to soak it all in yet. the wound that was left inside of him still ached. he had no idea how to react to any of this.

it was silent in the room. haechan took his brown orbs and took a small look at the girl beside him. her own eyes stared back at him, this time they welled with more tears. they fell like a waterfall, immediately after.

"god, i missed you."
