chapter 42 (part1)

"Navya?" I asked her shocked

"And you were asking what we are going to do with you right? You see the large glass tank?" She said pointing at the corner

There was a glass tank about 9 to 10 feet.

"We are going to drown you in it. And then we are going to throw your body on a beach. And baby we all know you can't swim so.... Don't worry. No one will find out about this. I kept both our phones at the beach and messaged everyone that we are having fun. So be prepared" She said

"But why? Navya! What has happened to you?" I asked her

"You don't remember do you?" She asked me

"Remember what?" I asked her

"Let me start from the beginning. There once was a princess who always got what she wanted. She was beautiful and men kissed the grounds she walked on. But she never liked anyone.

Then one day she saw a boy. He was son of a woodcutter but a charming and handsome man. She fell in love with him and befriended him. And one day he told her that he loved another girl. The princess couldn't take it. That girl was pure and loved by everyone. She had everything the princess wanted." She said

"Why are you telling me this?" I aksed her. I was not in a mood of listening to a fairytale

"Because in the last life I was the princess, Manik was that boy and you were the girl" she said

"What are you talking about?" I asked her in disbelief

"It's shocking that you don't remember anything.I remember everything  clearly" she said

"I don't believe you" I said

"You will if you will listen to the entire story" she said

"I couldn't let Manik be anybody's other than me so I planned to kill you. We were friends. So one day I took you to a secluded place and.." She said but I interrupted her

"Stabbed me?" I completed. I was getting some faint images and my head was hurting

"Yes! I stabbed you and I left you there in the cold night. But soon Manik came there. I don't know how but he found you. I was hiding behind the tree. You were almost dead he came towards you and you died in his arms. He couldn't handle it and before I could do anything he stabbed himself with the same dagger" she completed

My head was hurting so much. I could see the images faintly.

"Seeing him die I committed suicide. But I promised to come back for revenge. For him. For my love" she completed

"He was never yours. He always loved me." I said now remembering some incidents

"Shut up you bitch! I am the one who has loved him forever and ever. I remembered all these things the moment I saw him in our school. I have been trying to pursue him since then but he ignored me. And then I saw you in the college. First I was shocked but then I thought that you were the perfect person to use to get him to notice me and he did. But you idiot tried to set me up with Cabir. How foolish!" She said

"But you got into an accident due to the failure of breaks in my bike" I said confused

"Oh that! My love for Manik is much more than my hate for you. If I wouldn't have gotten in middle then Manik would have ridden the scooter and he would have died." She said

"And how about the time you came running when we told you Cabir was in the hospital?" I aksed her

"You really scared me that day but again do you remember what you had told me? You told me that Manik and Cabir both were in danger and so I ran. I have no feelings for that stupid Cabir. He was just a bait" she said

"So it really was you huh?" I asked her

"Yes and now today it will all end. This chapter that started years ago will end today with your death. Sad that today I can't kill you with a dagger. But today I will make sure my shoulder is the one Manik cries on." She said

I looked at her in disbelief.

"Come on Maddy. Let's work" she said
