8 Months Later

The Doctor told us eight months ago that my mom could live up to 2 years, the chemo treatments have made her extremely sick and the medications just makes her sleep all day. I have to work extra shifts but it's still not getting us by.

"Hey Darling, how was your day at work?" My mom asked as I walked through the front door. I sat my purse and keys down then walked over to her chair

"It was good, did you take all of your medications?" I asked, she smiled and handed me her medicine checklist her nurse made for her

"I'm sorry I did this to you" My mom said moving her head towards the window hiding her face from me

"Mom...You did nothing to me, this kind of thing happens to almost everybod-"

"I'm suppose to be taking care of you Carmen! You aren't suppose to be taking care... of me" She yelled with tears coming down her cheeks. I couldn't help but cry

"Mama...I would rather be taking care of you knowing that you are in good hands rather than having you take care of yourself and just give up, I chose to pick up extra shifts at the hospital so I can pay for your medicines and treatments. I love you mom" I managed to say all of that with tears falling down my face.

"I love you too baby" She said grabbing my face and kissing my forehead.

Mom was finally asleep so I went into my room and sat at my desk scrolling through jobs.

'Ding!'

An advertisement popped up that read "Looking for extra money? Needing to pay off those pesky student loans? Are you sky high in Medical Bills? We are here to help you solve any money issue you may have, click now to find your Sugar Daddy." I laughed for a good five minutes before I actually clicked the link...I can't really be considering this, right?

I do need the money and a second job would just be more hours away from my mom...Oh fuck why not... I signed up and started scrolling through guys

It's been a few hours and every guy I have clicked on seems pretty douchey, I was about to give up when I came over a familiar profile...it can't be. I clicked his profile and read his bio

"I don't want sex I just want company, let me take you out for dinner or even just texting would be fine. I am 24 years old, I am a Doctor, and I love long walks on the beach. Message my phone number (***)***-**** if interested" I bit my lip and thought about it for a few minutes before picking up my phone and texting him.

"Hi my name is Carmen, I saw your profile on the sugar daddy website. Sorry I am new at this whole thing" I typed blushing as I sent it.

2 minutes later

"Oh no you're fine, what would you like from me?" He wrote back....A shy smile played on my face

"I need money for personal reasons, I will do whatever you want." I typed back.

"How about we meet tomorrow around noon, I will send you the location...don't worry it will be in a very public place." He wrote

"That works for me"

"Alright, see you tomorrow Carmen"

"See ya" I smiled and bit my lip.

The next Day

I huffed at myself in the mirror as I placed two different outfits in front of me

"What is your problem Carmen just pick one" I whispered/yelled to myself

"Baby what are you doing?" My mom asked from the doorway, I smiled back at her and gave her that 'I need my mothers opinion' face

"I like the floral dress with the black strapped heels" My mom said walking in and pulling my hair back and braiding it.

"Thank you mom" I said giving her a kiss before she walked out of the room. I put the dress on and then slipped the heels on. I looked at myself in the mirror before walking out of the room

"I love you mom, I will be back in a few hours" I said giving her a peck on the cheek

"Good luck at your interview honey" She said as I grabbed my purse and keys.

"Thank you mom" I said before walking out of the house

I pulled up the address and drove to the location. I pulled into Starbucks and parked the car

I walk in and scan the crowd, I guess he's not here yet. I order an Iced Mocha and sit down at a table. I scroll through Instagram and someone sits in front of me

"Miss Jackson..." He asked with a raised brow

"Doctor Higgins" I said taking a sip of my drink. He smiles and leans forward

"You do know this is unprofessional, right?" He said, I sat my drink down and put my arms on the table and leaned towards him

"I'm not your patient and even so, there's no sex involved" I said with a smile, his eyes went down to my mouth then back up to my eyes.

"I do suppose you are right, I am going to go order a drink" He said getting up from the seat in front of me. My heart was beating so fast, did I just...flirt? Shit, I have been out of the game for two years now but it looks like I still have my groove

"Now, I am guessing you are needing the money for your mom?" He asked sitting down, taking a sip of his latte

"Yes, working extra shifts isn't helping" I said, he nodded and studied me for a minute

"How old are you exactly?" He asked with a raised eyebrow

"I am twenty about to be twenty-one" I answered. He nodded

"So, are you wanting to go out on dates or just spend alone time with me. Whatever you are comfortable with is okay by me" He assured me.

"How much money are we talking?" I asked, he smiled and licked his lips

"$3,000 each time we hangout or even speak to each other, work doesn't count" My mouth dropped and he smiled at my reaction.

"I will do whatever" I said, he nodded and looked at his watch

"Come over to my place tomorrow at 7pm, I have to run but it was really nice talking to you" He said and then put an envelope in front of me. He walked out and I opened it $3,000 right in front of me. Holy shit
