Story:
Liu Yangyang reading a novel in which one of the main character Bai Xiangxiu died in gruesome way, killed by the man she love Long Heng. One day Yangyang's finger get pricked by cactus on her desk. She wake up inside the novel as Bai Xiangxiu.
BXX start make a plan on how to escape her dead fate by living her life peacefully, following her mother in law's protection and ignore her husband Long Heng, a Prince, not by royal blood but the title given to him because of his military merit. It doesn't go exactly as she want. The more she avoid Long Heng, the more he get interested in her. BXX make plans to safe herself and supporting Lin Qianzi, the original novel Long Heng's true love, based on her knowledge of the novel storyline. But mishap happened in reality. Long Heng start to fall in love with her not LQZ. In fact he kinda despise her.
The storyline goes from BXX plan to avoid LH but LH pursue her, then they realize that they love each other. Along the way they fight schemes after schemes from their personal enemies also the kingdom's enemies.
What I Like:
Bai Xiangxiu special ability is rather unique: she can communicate with cactus and make it her personal magical spying device. lol
The cactus has character of innocent kid. It bring comedy in the story.
BXX character is witty at times & she's getting smarter as the story going. But I think she can be heartless too.
What I Don't Like:
The author is a little bit repetitive in BXX inner thought of the original novel plot. Yeah I know BXX supposed to be dead later on.... you don't have to repeat it every time. Also the use of male lead, female lead, secondary male lead another secondary male lead etc is really annoying to me. Use their names please!!! Only need to state who they are once. There are many characters and it's harder to remember their names if it's not used. It get better in later chapters though. I'm glad the author use Bai Xiang Xiu (this name is hard orz) throughout the story instead of Liu Yang Yang.
I don't like how they treat the supposed to be female lead Lin Qianzi in this story. She's a moron who can not commit to her decision. She fall to the same hole again and again. Why can't she learned?! I can't help to feel like, she is made this way to make the main character BXX shine more.
The original novel changed because of the transmigrated BXX's action but I can not see how the original novel supposed to be.
Maybe it's the ancient setting. There are too many rape to my liking. The main characters guilty of it too iirc. Use rape as punishment.
