: Him

I PRESSED the palms of my hands on the sink, preventing myself from falling over. I grabbed the yellow bottle of pills from my back pocket taking two white pills during the process.

I swallowed them both at the same time, grimacing when the bitter taste erupted throughout my taste buds. I swallowed down some water, my eyes closed as beads of perspiration trialed down the side of my face.

I felt it.

The memories slipping away. Hiding in the crooks and crevices of my mind, never to be seen again.

But one picture was stuck in my mind. Probably because I was holding onto it so tightly. Not physically but mentally.

The memories of her.

But despite my efforts, I could feel them slowly.

Little by little.

Slipping away.
