melody mills was no stranger to true love. the entire concept followed her around right when her curse broke, it followed her even after she stopped aging, becoming immortal like everyone else. she loved her family, she did, it was just the aching in her heart never stopped after she was brought back to life by her father, peter pan. she longed to find true love but could never seem to find it, not even in rufio whom she was with for a year before they broke things off.
getting a call from her best friend klaus mikaelson, melody travels to new orleans to help him with his daughter. she is reunited with the mikaelson family who she had grown close to in her time in mystic falls before she left, no longer able to deal with the drama. and she sees the original who she had clicked with instantly: rebekah mikaelson.
