*Shanice's POV*

"Bunnie?" I heard looked up from my note pad to see my dad
"Can we talk?" I nodded
"Okay I'll talk" he said sensing I was giving him the silent treatment
"Look, I kept you in the dark about your mum because I didn't want you to think she was a bad person, but know you think I am so it's time to tell the truth" I put my notepad down and looking up turning towards where he was sat, he took a deep breath and continued
"20 years ago I came home from a game I wasn't big name back then barley had enough money to keep us all going, anyway I came home to a note and you were left in your playpen" he handed the note over to me and I scanned over it
"She left because she had found someone she thought was better then me, not you but me. She left because she didn't want this life anymore and didn't believe in what I could make life for her, I protect you so much because I didn't want you to have heart break like mine, walking in to the living room seeing your baby girl looking up at you when she looked the image of her mum is hard but you were my main concern, I did everything for you and I can't bare thinking you think I'm the bad person" he finished, I blinked a few times
"I don't think your a bad person dad" I said looking up at him with tears in my eyes
"You are my favourite person, but you need to let me grow up dad"
"But no footballers, ok" I sighed thinking back to luke this was gonna be hard.
