Carol

Jenna is a mysterious person, isn't she? But to me, she's also the person I want to be. My role model.

However, her eyes seem to be distant today. Like her head is in the clouds. I even waved my hand in front of her, yet she didn't even flinch.

When I first met her, her eyes was like a deep ocean, life behind the surface. Right now it is the color of the sky. Far away. Floating.

I was about to give up when an idea struck me. Clever, but pretty mean.

"Earth to Jenna!" A sly grin formed on my face. "I've figured out your secret!"

Jenna whipped her head around suddenly, eyes wide. I started giggling, and she gave me a confused expression.

"I was just joking, Jenna! But I think you got an eye out for a certain boy!" I snickered.

Jenna started turning so red, it'll put tomatoes to shame.

"And that certain boy is-" I was cut off from a pillow slamming into my face.

"Carol! Don't make fun of her! How would you like it if I made fun of you and Ja-" Miri slapped her hand over her mouth. "Sorry. I didn't mean to say his name." She said after calming down.

"You better be sorry." I huffed.

"But have you learned your lesson?"

"No." I grinned despite my efforts not to.

"What?!" Miri said in mock anger and grabbed a flip-flop. "Come here, you demon child!"

I let out a high shriek and ran past her out the front door.

"Come back here, Carolina Lulu Sparrow!" Miri shouted after me, sprinting with flip-flop in hand. "I ain't done with you yet!"

I stuck out my tongue and continued running. Help me. I'm too young to die.

(A/N) 1 vote=1 prayer to save Carol's life.
