SUNDAY evening ay bumalik si Ara sa mansion ng mga Felices. Kinuha niya ang ibang gamit niya na naiwan sa kuwarto. She was torned to bring with her the book of Cæleste pero nag-i-stay ngayon sa bahay niya si Thorn. She didn’t want him to think that she’s afraid of him. Besides, hindi rin niya alam kung ano ang magiging epekto ng libro kay Thorn. She remembered that Professor Evangelista told her that no evil could touch the book.

Nang makabalik siyang bahay ay nadatnan niya ang lalaki na nakatayo sa gitna ng living room. he was just standing there staring at the TV. Kanina ay iniwan niyang naka-on ang TV para hindi ma-bored ang kasama. Hindi niya alam na kung saan niya ito iniwan ay doon niya rin ito aabutan.

“Uh, Thorn, bukas pala…” humarap ito sa kaniya. She noticed his jet black eyes’ iris is moving. It was revolving as if there’s a life inside his eyes.

“What about tomorrow?” he asked, slightly creased forehead.

“Monday na kasi bukas at may pasok ako. I am curious kung sa Abyss ka talaga nagta-trabaho?”

Ni hindi niya alam kung ano ang trabaho nito sa Abyss at madalas niya itong makita ro’n. And now that she mentioned it… her new boss, Sindred Dantalion, told her that Thorn has assigned him to watch over her.

“I have a new boss. Sindred Dantalion. You know him, right?” she asked and he nodded.

“He’s like me…” tipid nitong sabi na pinanlakihan niya ng mata.

“He’s also an Incubus?” hindi niya makapaniwalang sabi. Okay, kailangan na 'ata niyang i-assume na ang lahat ng affiliated kay Thorn Valverde ay underworld related.

“No. He’s a Verrine demon. But let’s not talk about him because he’s no longer your boss…”

“Masisisante rin ba siya kagaya ni Ma’am Miranda?”

Napanguso lamang siya. The though of him knowing everything about her seems creepy and overwhelming. Pero ewan niya ba. Kinikilig talaga siya. Really, her feelings for him is in deep. Mahirap ng umahon. At hindi niya gustong umahon.

“Are you hungry? I made you dinner,” he said that made her smile.

“Ikaw nagluto?”

“Not really. I kind of…” he raised his hand and a transparent energy ball appeared on his hand. “conjured it…” there was a slight snide grin on his face that made her nervous.

What more could this demon can do? Hanggang saan ang kaya niyang tanggapin lalo na’t ngayon ay mas lalo na niya itong nakilala. In to what extent does her heart could contain more revelations.

“Y-you can do that.” She said. She wasn’t asking. It was more on confirming what is already there. “Ano pa ang kaya mong gawin?”

“For starters, I can blink from place to place.”

“Blink?”

“It’s like teleporting but in a quicker phase,”

“Oh, ano pa?”

“I can smite a low-level demon and vanquish an Angel up to the first order,”

“What is a first order?”
