Twas a warm, sunny day in June and the whole of NCT decided to do a relay of videos on VLive. Kun, Mei, Winwin, Jaemin, Lee and Mark were chosen to start the afternoon off. They sat outside, in that order, behind some tables. On the tables were twenty-four brown boxes, each containing an NCT grow-your-own-succulent kit.

They dived the boxes between them - four for each person - and began making their little personal succulent. They chatted about casual things and worked hard to decorate the clear pots with stickers and to plant the small succulents correctly.

All was well until, as Mei, Winwin and Kun drifted into their own little Mandarin only conversation, Mark and Lee drifted into their own English only conversation which excluded innocent pretty boy Jaemin. (Not on purpose of course)

Jaemin knew this was the case but he still didn't like being cut off like that. He couldn't help but feel dejected.

"Hey, Lee, remember that time when we were trainees and we binge-watched all of the High School Musical movies?"

It didn't take long for the dejected feeling to fade and a jealous feeling to arise.

"Oh my gosh! Yes!"

After Lee's sudden loud gasp, Jaemin watched her ramble at a lightning fast pace about something she was obviously very passionate about. Mark then said something that made her giggle and smack his arm.

"You totally had a crush on Troy Bolten."

"Shut up, no I didn't."

Clenching his jaw, Jaemin turned away from them. He was envious of the way Lee talked to Mark in English.

"You actually had a crush on Ryan."

The words of her mother tongue flowed so easily and without thought or mistake.

"What are you talking about, Lee? That never happened."

Jaemin could always see how much more carefree and at home she was when she spoke English.

"Oh, yeah, right. My mistake. It was Chad."

Jaemin wished he could speak the language too. He wished he could talk with her like Mark did.

"I'm throwing you in the lion cage next time we go to the zoo."

He wished he was able to help her like Mark or Johnny did when she didn't understand a Korean word.

Sighing, Jaemin glanced at Mark who was now showing Lee a sticker he put on one of the cups. Jaemin did his best to not glare at him. He wished Mark would stop leaning so close to her.

"Johnny oppa!" Lee suddenly shouted.

Everyone looked to the door on their right where Johnny was now standing. They had previously seen some of the other members in the higher floors of that building so it was no surprise that Johnny had come down to see them.

"Yo, I was just making yours," Mark told him.

"I was watching," Johnny replied.

"Dude, look a this." Mark picked up the cup with Johnny's stickers on it and showed but to him.

"It looks good," Johnny said. "It looks so good. Wow."

Mark and Lee laughed at his sarcastic tone.

"I added the "My one and only Johnny" at the front because it's your signature mark," explained Mark.

"It's beautiful, Mark," Johnny said.

Mark repeated the phrase on the cup as he put it back down.

"Johnny, look at mine," said Lee, holding up the on she had just finished. "It's Queenie."

"Your's is so much neater than Mark's," Johnny said honestly.

Lee stuck her tongue out at Mark.

"What?" Mark exclaimed. "It is not!"

"It is too. Johnny never lies."

"He's just trying to make you feel better about yourself."

"You're just jealous."

Like always with these Lee and Mark, the small, petty argument escalated into a bigger, pettier argument with progressively harder punches and annoying pokes. They probably would've gone on forever if Johnny had interrupted saying he was leaving now.

"Oh, okay."

"Bye, Johnny."

As Mark and Lee waved Johnny goodbye, Jaemin saw an opportunity to get Lee's attention again. He stealthily grabbed the bottom of her chair and started slowly dragging it towards himself. Lee noticed the movement and gave her chair a confused look but then saw the hand gripping it. She followed the arm to the face and gave Jaemin a suspicious glare.

"What are you doing, Nana?" she questioned.

"Nothing," Jaemin replied still very clearly pulling the chair closer.

Lee looked between the chair and him. "Are you kidding?"

Jaemin let go of the chair. "Okay, I need your help." Not true.

"With what?"

"The stickers." Not true.

"The stickers?"

"You're so good at it and I want them to be neat."

"Jaemin, you can handle stickers. You've been doing fine so far."

"But I want this one to be neat and clean like the ones you made. It's for Kaede. Please, Mimi."

Lee sighed. "Okay, Nana."

Beaming, Jaemin hugged Lee, leaning his head on her shoulder. "Thank you, Mimi. You're the best."

Smiling at his words, Lee pat his head then went to work on the succulent cup. As she did this the fans watching the live caught Jaemin sending a quick glare Mark's way.

If Jaemin was ever asked about this day, he would never admit he was jealous. He wouldn't even admit it to himself. It was out of character for him to act on jealousy and his reasoning wasn't even logical. Jaemin just needed help with stickers and that was that. Nothing else.
