Lance and his family were forced to move out of their home in Cuba and into the US , but when his older sister and most supportive relative gets into a life-threatening car accident, the boy soon finds himself in a bar, spewing his emotions and enti...
Previously:"Alright! I'm done now!" Keith said, putting the mic back in it's holder and stepping towards the edge of the stage, expecting the crowd to part so he could jump down. They didn't, instead shouting for various other songs. Keith growled, reluctantly stepping back to the mic. "I'll do one more, but then I have to go. Got it?!" Everyone nodded and Lance could tell by the excited aura radiating off of the people that Keith didn't do this very often.
"It's getting late, and I
Cannot seem to find my way home tonight,
Feels like I am falling down a rabbit hole,
Falling for forever, wonderfully wandering alone" Keith paused, looking around for someone to pick up the other role, his eyes finally landing on Lance and giving him a pleading glance. Lance smiled and nodded a little, hoping off the stool as he picked up the other part.
"What would my head be like,
If not for my shoulders
Or without your smile
But follow you forever
May it never leave you
To sleep in the stone, maybe" By the time it was Keith's turn to chip in again, he was helping Lance up onto the stage and making room next to him at the mic.
"Stay lost on our way home" They sang in unison.
"C'mon, c'mon, with everything falling down around me
I'd like to believe in all the possibilities" Keith picked up again on cue, setting up Lance for the next verse.
"If I should die tonight
May I first just say I'm sorry
For I, never felt like anybody
I am a man of many hats although I
Never mastered anything
But I am ten feet tall
I've never felt this tall since the fall
Nobody seems to know my name
So don't leave me and sleep all alone
Maybe stay lost on our way home" The Cuban sang, smiling the entire time and trying to memorize the crowds' faces so it was easier to put a name and a personality to a face later on.
"C'mon, c'mon, with everything falling down around me
I'd like to believe in all the possibilities
C'mon, c'mon, with everything falling down around me
I'd like to believe in all the possibilities" Keith began the end, and Lance turned back to face him. "Try not to mistake what you have with what you hate
It could leave, it could leave, come the morning
Celebrate the night
It's the fall before the climb" Lance stepped to the side so Keith could finish.
"Shall we sing, shall we sing, until the morning
If I fall forward, you fall flat
And if the sun should lift me up
Would you come back?" Keith lightly grabbed Lance's shirt sleeve and pulled him back over to the mic for the next part.
"C'mon, c'mon, with everything falling down around me
I'd like to believe in all the possibilities
C'mon, c'mon, with everything falling down around me
I'd like to believe in all the possibilities" They sang together before Keith stopped, letting Lance sing the next part.
"So c'mon, c'mon, with everything falling down around me
I'd like to believe in all the possibilities"
"Yeah Yeah Yeah!" Keith planed on letting Lance finish, only singing backup.
"It's late and I, cannot seem to find my way home tonight" And that' s exactly what happened.
As he sang the last line, Lance couldn't help but relate it with Cuba, and his sister.
"You're pretty good." Keith said, turning to Lance and interrupting his train of thought.
"Me? Have you heard yourself?" Lance asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Hehe, thank you," Keith replied.
"Keith! Should I be calling Shiro?" The first bartender yelled over the crowd.
"Uhhhh... " Keith started, looking in that direction and narrowing his eyes, "Nah, if I throw up in his car again he's gonna be pissed."
