"Princess Earle!!!" She was hurled backward violently as the older child hugged her tightly like he hadn't seen her not so long ago.

She held back the urge to throw the clingy child off her but was too petrified by the cold gaze from her older brother.

"Eldest senior brother... I..."

She had actually lost her voice to the scary man staring at her partially amused.

"I'm very sorry! Please forgive me!" She said attempting to view despite the child that clung to her torso like a puppy when his owner came home.

Her knees shook slightly as he approached her turning to the young lad in the sailor costume behind her.

"Did you.... run away with this boy?" He asked pointing at Ling who didn't seem fazed by the prince but instead felt threatened.

Why was that?

He was curious, why exactly did he feel threatened by this prince, why did he feel the need to assert himself?

He glanced at the girl who was frozen in shock.

And he couldn't help but feel irritated, stepping forward with a stoic expression he bowed in courtesy to the nation's most wanted husband.

"Your highness" Prince Raymond's eyes narrowed at the growing audacity of the 'brat' standing before him.

"Peasant, who are you to speak before being spoken to?"

(A/N: Oof)

Ling stiffened, unsure of how to reply to such overbearing words, wasn't he supposed to greet the royal family? Wasn't that a degree from the first king?

"Peasant, move away from my violet, or I'll kill you"

A sudden surge of killing intent forcing him a few steps back and cautioned Grey to let go of the princess before shuffling back in fear.

Earle couldn't help but sigh in her heart, not this again...

"Eldest senior brother... You're scaring him..."

Her eldest senior brother was a sis con, what a psycho, he wasn't as amazing as her second older brother at all!

You could say that she was being hypocritical because she herself was well known for having a brother complex for Edmond.

"Violet Darling you really don't have to run away with peasants like these next time, I can always take you where you want without his majesty's interference."

He replied softly giving her chills down her spine.

She had been scared of him ever since she was a baby, he was the one brother that was never around, she always played with her second elder brother who doted on her and tried to keep her entertained even when her real age didn't allow her to show him the appreciation he deserved. Her eldest brother never showed her such affection, so why did he treat her this way?

Ah... That was because he watched her kill a man.

"Older brother I'm sorry, next time I promise I'll use you.."

Her older brother was socially incompetent, since a young age, he had thirsted for blood and seemed disinterested in human interaction.

Therefore he joined the military and made a name for himself as a ruthless killer.

To him, humans were disgusting creatures and religion was just another tool to obtain power.

To him, they were all... insignificant.

But she had been different.

It wasn't too shocking that he had been more and more interested in her after that day, after all... She was also socially incompetent.

And she also didn't see humans as significant creatures, but she was planning to use religion to rewrite her fate as the villainess.

So he latched on to her, unwilling to let go.

Because he watched her kill a man.

He watched her kill Prince Raymond Lux.
