Deanna's POV
Ang bilis talaga ng panahon. Parang kailan lang nang makilala ko siya tapos naging kami, and next week will be our first monthsary. I'm really excited about it, of course I will surprise her, shhhh don't tell it to her, it's a secret haha. I'm with Ponggay now, we're here at the mall, may bibilhin daw na damit itong si Ponggay. And I'm really damn tired and hungry.
Me: Ponggay we're walking for about an hour. I'm damn tired and hungry.
Ponggay: I'm so sorry hahaha, nakalimutan ko kase kung saan ko nakita un eh. Tsaka ngayon na nga lang kita nakasamang mag shopping tapos nagrereklamo ka pa.
Me: Sus nangonsensya pa. Tsk
Ponggay: Pagbigyan mo na ako, I'm really stressed eh.
Me: What makes you stressed? Is there any problem?
Pinapasok namin every boutique na nadadaanan namin. Urg! I'm really pissed off. Pumasok ulit kami sa isang boutique, umupo muna ako sa couch to rest for a minute while waiting for her. Puro damit makikita dito, but a pair of shirt caught my attention. It was a couple shirt, color black at may nakasulat. Dun sa isa "I'm Batman", tapos sa isa "I'm Batman's wife." I'm pretty sure magugustuhan niya ito. I bought it immediately, then umupo ulit ako sa couch. A few minutes later, nagtataka ako bakit wala pa si Ponggay so pinuntahan ko na siya sa fitting room. Kumatok ako pero walang sumasagot, so nagpatulong ako sa saleslady na buksan Ang pinto. Damn! What happened to her, kinakabahan na ako. As we open the door I saw Ponggay, nakahiga sa sahig. She's unconscious. Damn! May dugo.
Me: Ponggay!
Linapitan ko siya agad and carry her.
Me: What are you looking there? Call for help!
Nasigawan ko yung saleslady, agad naman siyang lumabas, bumalik siya kasama Ang security guard. We rush her to the nearest hospital. I'm really worried, but I need to compose myself. God I hope she'll be fine.
*HOSPITAL*
Good thing, we reached the hospital immediately. Pinasok na siya sa ER. Agad na lumapit saken ang doctor and ask me some questions. Nakakainis, bakit Hindi niya nalang kaya asikasuhin si Ponggay. After a few questions, pinuntahan na niya si Ponggay and checked her. Habang hinihintay Ang result, I called her parents.
Me: Tita I'm here at *******hospital. Something happened to Ponggay.
Nabigla siya sa sinabi ko, heard Tito also. Pupuntahan na daw nila ako dito.
Me: Okay po Tita, I'll wait for you, please keep calm baka kayo pa po mapasama. Ingat po kayo.
I hang up the call. Umupo muna ako sa upuan, naisipan kong tawagan si Jema.
Me: Hi baby.
Jema: Oh napatawag ka?
Me: I'm here at the hospital?
Jema: Oh anong ginagawa mo jan sa hos----HOSPITAL!? BAKIT KA ANJAN? SAANG OSPITAL YAN? PUPUNTAHAN KITA NGAYON NA!
Me: Baby don't shout. I don't know what really happened, magkasa kami ni Ponggay kanina sa mall, kase may bibilhin daw siyang damit but I noticed na Ang tagal niya sa fitting room only to find out she's already unconscious. I'm really worried.
Jema: Text me Kung nasaan ka pupuntahan kita, sige na I'll change muna.
Me: Okay, ingat ha baby.
Jema: Yes baby, I love you.
Me: I love you too.
She end up the call. Umupo muna ako after 20 mins Tita and Tito Alfred are already here tapos sumunod na din si Jema. Sinalubong agad niya ako ng yakap. Her hug makes me feel better. Nag-usap muna kami ni Tita.
" Who are the relatives of the patient?"
Lumapit kami agad, pinapasok kami and we saw her lying in bed. Kinausap ng doctor si Tita Rain and Tito Alfred. We can hear their conversation. Tahimik lang kami na nakikinig. I was shocked when I heard Kung ano talaga Ang rason ng pagkahilo niya. Hindi ko mapigilang maiyak. Bakit Hindi ko to nalaman, I'm her best friend. I felt Jema, hold my hand. I hugged her.
Me: Napaka-walang kwenta Kong kaibigan. I'm her best friend, I should know that, why she didn't told me.
Jema: Shhhh baby, don't blame yourself Hindi mo kasalanan Ang nangyari. Shhhh tahan na.
She rub my back which makes me calm. Many thoughts are running to my mind.
Realization hit me. Kaya pala napapansin ko na medyo iba Ang kilos niya nitong mga nakaraang araw. I'm such a stupid. We stayed there for I think almost 3 hours. Gabi na, but I don't want to go home, I want to take care of her.
Tita Rain: Ija, umuwi ka muna sainyo. Baka mag-alala sila Judin niyan. Wag Kang mag-alala aalagaan namin siya.
I looked at her, she smiled at me but there's sadness behind her smile. Hays.
Jema: Let me take you home, don't worry baby, kayang-kaya ni Ponggay yan, I know she's strong.
Tumayo na ako, yinakap si Tita and Tito Alfred and bid our goodbye. Tahimik Lang kami until we reach the parking lot. Sasakyan ni Jema ang ginamit namin. Hanggang sa byahe tahimik parin ako. I just can't believe sa mga narinig ko ngayong araw. Hindi ko napansin na nasa bahay na pala kami. Lumabas na ako sumunod Naman siya.
Me: Thanks for taking me home baby.
Jema: No worries B. Hays Hindi ako sanay na Ganyan. Don't worry everything will be okay.
Me: Sorry baby, Hindi ko maiwasang mag-aalala. Pati tuloy ikaw nadamay.
Jema: I understand Baby, pumasok ka na. Eat you dinner and have some rest ha.
Me: Ayaw mo muna bang pumasok?
Jema: Hindi na baby, it's already late eh. We have class pa tomorrow.
Me: Ah oo nga pala.
Jema: So Mauna na ako baby. Don't worry to much ha, papanget ka niya.
Me: Haha okay baby, mag-iingat ka ha. Text me Kung naka-uwi ka na. I love you.
Jema: Yes Ma'am haha. I love you too.
I hugged her and give her a quick kiss on her lips. Na ikinagulat naman niya.
Jema: Ano ka ba, baka makita tayo no Tito Dean.
Me: It was just a quick kiss. Don't worry, if ever he'll find out. Samahan mo akong mag-explain haha.
Jema: Baliw haha, punta na ako baka Kung ano pa mangyari.
Me: Take care baby.
Tumango siya bago pumasok sa sasakyan. Hinintay ko muna na makaalis siya bago ako pumasok sa bahay. Pag pasok ko sa bahay I saw Mom, with worried eyes.
Mom: Sakto Deanna, you're here Kain na tayo ng dinner.
Sinundan ko siya papunta sa dining table. Everyone was already there. Tahimik lang kaming kumain. Until we finished eating walang nagsalita.
Dad: Deanna.
He said with serious voice. Parang kinabahan ako sa tono ng pananalita ni Dad. One thing he called me Deanna not Baby D. Did he already know? Damn I'm nervous.
Dad: What happened? I heard Ponggay was rushed to the hospital?
Nakahinga ako ng maluwag, but I remember again what happened. I told them the whole story, they were also shocked. After telling them the story. Mom told me to rest na. Binagsak ko ang katawan on my bed. This day is really tiring. I hope she'll be fine. God please take care of her. Make her strong, please guide her to get through with this situation.
