PIXIE CHICK

I woke up the next morning with an uneasy feeling in my stomach, and an uncontrollable sense that something was wrong, but I couldn't tell what. After about ten minutes of wondering what was going on I gave up and decided to check my phone and see if I had any important messages. To my surprise I had a random message from an unknown number reading,

"Hey, just wanted to know how you were feeling after monday."

And was sent just a few minutes before I woke up. I didn't recognize the number but I had a pretty good idea of who it was because of what had happened on Monday, which means my brother was leaking my number out. Sometimes I wondered for Josh's mental health, he does some pretty crazy things sometimes but nothing ever this crazy, unless he has the idea in his mind that I'm finally going to get a boyfriend, even though he's wrong, maybe.

It took me 45 minutes to get ready for school, I threw on a long sleeve white cropped top, along with one of my nicer pairs of white, non ripped nor stained, jeans. I normally never wore makeup but felt off in a way that told me to change it up a bit so I put a thin layer of a frosty pink tone that I had of lipstick, and then some of my expensive eye shadow, normally I would have used nude tones but instead the color that I felt drawn to was the golden yellow with some light brown in the inner crease, and to top it off, a few coats of mascara to make my already long eyelashes even longer. When I went downstairs everyone was staring, so I asked,

"What? Did I do something wrong again?"

"Maybe."

That from my brother.

"I don't think so."

From my dad while he looked at my mom curiously, almost as if he was trying to tell her not to say what she was about to say, and then,

"WHAT THE HELL IS ON YOUR LIPS AND EYES?"

From my mom, who, obviously, was not impressed with my latest makeup style.

"I'm just trying something new, calm down, you should see what some of the other girls slap on their face every morning, at least I still have real eyebrows."

And with that, my mom went completely silent, lost the look on her face, and went back to the game that was now buzzing impatiently on her phone. I was proud of myself, if my family noticed then hopefully other people would also, which was a level up for me.

Once I got to school I knew Faye would be waiting for me at my locker, like normal, but apparently not today, maybe I'm not the only one changing things up a bit. Than at my locker I realized she was inside hiding, and even though I probably didn't want to know the answer I asked,

"What are you doing, in my locker?"

"New kid, or Spencer as you call him, started walking over here so I hid, and it was a good thing I did, because look what pretty boy threw in your locker."

She said, with a nice big grin on her face from ear to ear pulling out a piece of paper that was folded at least 5 times, and I suddenly had the urge to run and hide from her in a locker. I knew from the look on her face that she was creating an evil plan from start to finish, no detail left unthought of.

"And what might that say? Since I know you already read it."

"It says 'can't wait to see you in auto pixie chick', what is that suppose to mean?"

I had no idea what that meant and I didn't want to find out, but I hoped he hadn't of found out. All I said was,

"I don't know, maybe he gave me a nickname?"
