It had been two days since the legendary Vicky Apology, and still there was a buzz about it. Afterall, it was not not a daily event that the most dreaded College Bully and his gang, apologise to a first year girl. The said girl however, had become more of a buzz.

Everyone now and then, you could pass the college corridor and hear about the petite first year and her beauty. People were actively linking her up with the college hero and extremely handsome Sameer, and getting miserable in the process. While some linked her with the second year and quiet-good-looking Prem, due to the extremely-frequent-times, when he had been noticed, rather caught, staring at the pretty little Naina. A small fraction of the college, however, had started predicting a love triangle, seeing two famous, good looking boys, giving too much attention to the same girl.

Naina and the entire gang remained unaware about all this since the gossipers were smart enough to hide it from them. They didn't fancy being punched by Sameer Maheshwari and go into Coma, thank you very much.

Naina, however, was busy dealing with an internal dilemma. How to thank Sameer? And most importantly, Where to thank Sameer? They don't meet at a common place, and well, they don't even talk at a place, even if they meet. But, Naina knew she had to thank him. He did so much for her. He came forward to help, when no one else did. He scared the second years away, and even made them apologise to her. Now everyone was afraid to approach her, even if they wanted to ask for help. She had to express how grateful she was. With this particular resolve, Naina went to sleep beside an already snoring Preeti.

--------------------------------

It was late in the morning and the VJN University was busy. Some were at their classes, while some were bunking in the Red Rose. Some were lazily lying on the grass and others were at activity room.

Naina however, had an impending task to complete. She headed towards the cricket ground with indomitable spirit. "She will thank Sameer" she thought proudly. Though she looked quiet calm from the outside, she played the song "Hum honge Kamyab" in her mind again and again. But a single soldier, can never win a war against four enemy soldiers, can she. So she got, her fellow soldiers, Preeti and Swati along with her, who looked quiet happy, given that they could pass their time and ogle at the college cricketers.

The cricket ground was mostly deserted, if you don't count the four boys, who practically lived here. Some daily spectators were also there, who didn't have anything much to do, so they were fooling around here. Usually, the whole VJN team was present here, but due to surprise lecture by the principal, they were in their classes. Arjun was on the pitch, while Munna was balling. Sameer was fielding and Pandit was supposed to be the wicket-keeper, though he didn't seem too happy about it.

"Yaar tum logo ki mujhse kya Dushmani hai mujhse. Hamesha hi wicket keeper Bana dete ho. Aaj toh woh third-year wali Muskaan bhi aayi hai. Arjun tujhe dosti ki kasam, please bhai batting dede. Agar meri setting ho gayi na, toh main tujhe Red Rose mein party dunga."

Arjun looked at Pandit and sighed.
"Accha theek hai. Ladki ke chakkar mein dost ki batting de deni chahiye. Geeta mein bhi likha hai"

Pandit looked as if he had been given a hidden treasure, and soon swaggered down the ground, to exchange places with Arjun. He glanced at Muskaan and ruffled his hair "stylishly". Muskaan was however, busy staring at Sameer and didn't give even an atom long attention to Pandit.

"Chalo ab start kar lete hai", Munna offered.

But the game didn't start that soon, since the arrival of the three girls, slowed down their initial speed and vigour. Munna immediately dropped the ball he was holding and soon his eyes became busy in staring at Swati. Arjun looked quiet annoyed, while Pandit was still trying to get Muskaan's attention. But the scene was totally different for a certain boy.
