Change

Just a few days of silence,
Between the years and years of violence.
Another child taken,
Another family forsaken.
A plethora of nightmares for those still alive,
And horrifying truths with which they're to abide.
Places where life turned to death,
Places where good and evil met.
These 'innocent' soldiers trying to please their lords,
Ending lives with rifles and swords.
The people on the streets shout to convey,
"These wars are useless, keep your anger at bay!
What will we achieve in years to come,
Whether we've lost, whether we've won."
The homeless on the roads ask for something we'd say sounds strange,
They say " keep your money, we want change".

This world's a mess...
Isn't it ironic how we kill people to stop killing people.
It's a paradox.
Starting a war to stop a war...
