Chapter 1

"Good morning beautiful." My husband of three years said as I rolled over to face him
"Morning." I smiled looking at him
"My beautiful wife." He said kissing my lips as it deepened
A knock at our door interrupted us and his right hand man Marco peeked in.
"Boss we have feds snooping around on our servers." He said before closing it again
"Merda." (Shit) he said getting out of bed and pulling on a pair of boxers
"What does that mean?" I asked holding the blanket to cover my naked chest
"Feds think Im doing something illegal and want to take me down." He shrugged like its no big deal
"But your not right?" I asked knowing I asked him to give up that life style a year ago
"Principessa you know this is our life. Im the don in training and that my dad is back in Italy for the moment. What I do will never effect our relationship." He said kissing my forehead bringing butterflies to my stomach like always
"Ok. I have always trusted you. I love you Luca." I said as he smiled and kissed me again before going to shower as I got out of bed and put his shirt and some leggings on

"Hello Mrs. Derosa." The head maid said as I sat down and she gave me a cup of coffee
"Hello Helen. Has momma come to breakfast yet?" I asked and she nodded no
"Carrie my girl." Luca's mom Gemma said walking into the kitchen
"Hello momma." I said smiling as she sat next to me and got a cup of coffee as well
"Wheres my baby boy?" She asked as breakfast got served
"Showering for work." I sighed
"Its ok. Angelo is always doing something work related. You will get use to it. Are you going to the club today?" She asked
"Yeah. I need to make sure everything is running smoothly for Luca. He asked me last night to go." I said before security started going crazy
"Shit." I said grabbing the closest gun to me that happened to be inside a cook book
"Im here for my sister." The voice said from the camera out by the gate as I watched what was happening in the kitchen
"Double shit." I said seeing my older sister out there

"Sister?" Luca questioned as he paced back and forth in our room
"Babe calm down." I said hoping it would work
"I thought you dont talk to your family anymore?" He questioned getting upset
"Luca baby. I havent talked to them since I was eighteen and moved to New York for college." I standing up and walking over to him
"Two months after I moved here I met you mi amore." I said knowing he loves when I speak Italian
"I made sure to never talk to them again and you promised to make me disappear. I dont know how she found me. But we or at least I need to go down there before your mom and Marco scare her." I said
"Your right. Im sorry." He said kissing my forehead as we left to go downstairs

"I cant believe you are here. Alive." Jennifer said as we walked into the room seeing me and Luca holding hands
"How?" He asked using his what I call mafia voice getting a cold glare from me
"How what?" She asked confused
"How did you find her he means to ask." Gemma said calming the situation
"I know you changed your last name. And there is all the camera footage of you shopping around in New York with him and going to high end events." She said pointing at Luca
"He has a name." I said tightening my grip on his hand
"Sir I found this on her." Marco said giving Luca her FBI badge
"FBI huh?" He asked looking between the both of us
"Does it have anything to do with the feds looking around in our servers last night?" He asked giving it back to her
"No. I didnt know they were. I was just trying to find my sister to tell her our dad died." Jennifer said
"What?" I questioned as my eyes teared up
"Dad died a year ago. But you havent been able to be found until I looked into missing persons more. But I found you." She said standing up and walking towards me as Luca stepped in front to protect me
"Jennifer I think you should go." I said wiping tears away
"You have always called me JJ. Can we please talk? Alone?" She asked and I nodded towards Gemma and Marco as the left leaving me with Luca who refused to leave my side
"Whatever you talk about can be done in front of me. She will tell me anyway." Luca said guiding me over to a couch as she sat in front of us
"Why did you go missing?" She asked
"I didnt." I said smiling
"Yes you did. You dropped out of NYU and off the grid." She said raising her voice a little
"I fell in love." I said looking at Luca
"Carrie he is suspected to be in the mafia and running the American portion." She said surprised as I laughed
"Thats a good one. Luca is a business man. Owns clubs and hotels. Nothing illegal is going on." I said finally catching my breath and telling her the same story I tell everyone else who questions it
"Carrie. Why?" She questioned again
"I fell in love with Luca two months after moving here. We have been married for three years." I smiled as she looked at a happy picture of us from Greece last summer
"Alright are you holding her against her will? Is this stockholm syndrome? Carrie are you being held here against your will and being forced to be here?" She asked
"No JJ. Im am here against my own free will. Im sorry I fell off the grid but I needed to so I could fit into this city." I said honestly
"Unbelievable." She said standing up
"Please stay in contact with me." She said giving me her business card say Special Agent Jennifer Jareau-LaMontange
"You married Will." I said smiling remembering their relationship and Henry who was five when I left
"Ya. You have another nephew named Micheal as well." She said as we followed her out to the front door and said goodbye

"Fuck." I said letting all the tears fall from my face
"Im have you mi amore." Luca said pulling me into a hug calming me down
