"Hello?" They answered when I called
"Mom?" I asked
"Carrie? Why are you calling?" She asked kindof surprised. JJ must have told her I didnt want them in my life
"Um nevermind. Im sorry." I said before hanging up
"Why didnt you tell her?" Luca asked looking up from his paper work as we sat with Dante
"She asked why I called. JJ must have told her that I didnt want them in our lives anymore." I shrugged putting my attention back on Dante
"Its been a week and a half Bello they deserve to know." He said and I nodded 
"What are you going to do with Austin?" I asked looking back over to him
"Havent decided. Doc fixed up his bullet hole to give me some more time with him. Nico and Alec are watching him closely." He said with a slight smile
"What are you smiling about?" I asked confused
"I thought we dont talk business around Dante?" He asked laughing
"Well I need to know and I want a turn." I shrugged as Dantes doctor came in
"Its time!" She said excitedly
"Time?" Luca asked confused. We both really liked her as Dantes doctor but she is very cheerful for being a NICU doctor
"He has improved sooo much and I am very proud of him. You get to hold him today." She said lifting the top off
"Now with this he needs to be skin to skin. So shirts off. This helps give him more warmth. I will put a blanket around you when you hold him Carrie to protect your goods." She laughed
"Dr. Robbins you sure?" I asked concerned
"Yes. He has gained ten ounces. He is almost three pounds. Who first?" She asked as I shrugged and took my flannel off
"Ok now he got the tube from his mouth removed this morning but will have the nose tube until he can fully breath on his own." She said carrying him gently over to me and laying him on my chest as tears fell down
"Here is this. I will give you two some time." She said giving Dante the blanket
"I love you Bello." He said taking a picture trying his hardest to make my chest not in the picture
"He is in my arms." I said as I saw the tears falling down his face
"Im going to cover you up cause Momma and dad should be here soon." He said right as Momma walked in with food
"My baby Dante." She said walking over and freaking out
"Where is he? He doesnt have anything for today beside the tube that got removed this morning." She said panicking
"Momma quiet down. He is right here." I said smiling as Luca moved the blanket down showing him snuggled up against my chest sleeping soundly
"We can hold him now?" She whispered as I nodded yes
"I call next." Angelo said sitting down next to me
"After me old man. Carrie just got him and I have held him yet." He laughed failing at being a hard ass
"I brought lunch for you two. Carrie I got you just some baked ziti and a salad. Luca you got the burger." She said setting it out as Luca started eating as my phone started to buzz
"Luca. I need to answer that." I said seeing JJs name show up
"Hold on." He said answering it for me
"JJ hold on one second we have to change Dante around real quick." He said mentioning him as Momma helped pick him up for me to put my shirt back on
"Shes fine. She just had to put her shirt back on." He smiled before giving me the phone
"Hey whats up?" I asked leaving the room and going to the elevator to go outside
"Why did you call mom just to hang up?" She asked
"I will tell you as soon as I am outside." I answered stepping out and going right outside
"I needed to tell her something but didnt want to worry her too much." I answered
"Will you tell me?" She asked as tears filled my eyes
"I um... we um... no I um..." I said before she interrupted me
"Tell me now." She demanded
"I had the baby premature." I said as I heard a small gasp from her
"Carrie. Im sorry I didnt expect that. How is the baby?" She asked
"He is good. Has gained ten ounces this pass week. Almost to three pounds now. He hasnt opened his eyes yet so we are all taking bets that he has blue eyes. Luca and I dont leave his side during the day and Kat and Marco sit with him at night." I sighed sitting down on a bench
"How are you and Luca?" She asked
"As good as two preme parents can be. Luca hired the best of the best for him. He is expected to be here until he is about six pounds and can breath in his own. He got one tube taken out but still has the noes tube to help him." I said knowing the stress is really getting to us
"How about you? Did anything happen that made this happen?" She asked
"Austin found me and held me at knife point. I dont remember much just waking up a few hour later." I said
"And no police?" She asked
"No he got away I guess." I lied
"Ok. Well call mom. Do you need me to come to New York?" She asked before I lost it completely
"Yes. Please." I said as she said ok and hung up as I now called my mom
"Carrie dont hang up one me again." She said answering
"I had the baby premature." I answered immediately
"Im on my way." She said hanging up before I calmed myself down and went back in
"Hey um my mom and sister are coming." I said quietly entering the room
"I know I paid for their tickets. Paul is picking them up later tonight. They were already at the airport when you called them." Angelo said giving me my bowl of food
"Thank you." I said sitting down next to Luca who had Dante on his chest
"He looks so small on you." I laughed taking a picture of them together
"I feel like Im holding a small cat on my chest." He laughed
"Hes moving his head." I said concerned as Momma went and grabbed Dr. Robbins
"Hes getting ready to say hello to you." She smiled at our worried parenting
"What?" Luca asked as we saw his eyes flutter open slowly and were greeted by sparkling blue eyes
"We were right." Momma said as they left to give us time together
