Chapter 12

"Thanks Paul." I said getting out of the car with a few boxes of pizza from our favorite place
I got into the elevator as one of the girls who worked there looked me up and down
"Something wrong?" I asked as she smirked
"You must really like being a pizza girl." She said looking me up and down seeing me in jeans a a plain white shirt with a denim jacket
"Ya its fun. New places I get to see." I said as she got out on the top floor with me
"Do you mind if I leave this here? I have to go to the bathroom." I said lying to have fun with her as she nodded

"Is Luca Derosas office this way?" I asked and she nodded as I went that way
"Ma'am you cant go in there." She said realizing I was going to enter without permission
"I think I can he is expecting me." I said nodding towards the pizza boxes
"He is about to start a meeting with me." She said giggling like a school girl
"I have googled him. Isnt he married?" I asked shocked
"He is but we all know in the office he goes through secretaries every few months. You know what I mean?" She said winking
"I guess I am a stupid blonde explain." I said seeming confused
"He is sleeping with us duh." She said as I caught on
"Oh really?" I asked sounding excited knowing the truth that I have been firing them for wanting to sleep with him
"Carrie cut it out. We just hired her." Marco said coming out of his office that was across the room
"Marco its more fun this way." I groaned as Luca stepped out to the commotion
"Hey hunny." He said pulling me in and kissing the top of my head
"Shit. I totally forgot to introduce myself. Im Carrie Derosa." I said giving Luca the pizza boxes to shake her hand
"Im sorry I ruined your home life." She said looking down
"Im sorry for ruining yours." I said looking at her
"What?" She said confused
"Oh your fired." I said laughing
"For sleeping with your husband?" She asked
"Oh no. I know hes not sleeping with you cause he is always coming to visit me at the club or on the phone with me or actually sleeping with me." I laughed as she still looked confused
"She right your fired. Get out." He demanded as she jumped and went to gather her things

"You need to hire a gay guy assistant." I sighed sitting in his chair behind his desk
"Why so you can have another best friend to gain up on me with?" He laughed sitting on the edge of his desk opening up a pizza box
"So I can stop firing people. These girls think I believe them everytime. Its getting old." I laughed taking a slice from him
"What are your plans after this?" He asked
"Shopping. Might go to the club to check on some things and have a few drinks." I shrugged before logging on to his computer
"You are not going to find anything." He chuckled
"How do you know?" I asked opening his history
"Cause I havent planned our trip yet." He laughed giving me another slice
"This trip needs to be longer." I laughed looking at him and enjoying the view
"Close your mouth you will catch flies." He said as I smiled and put my crust in the box
"Whatever." I said before giving him a deep kiss
"I will see you at the club when I finish up here." He said as we pulled away out of breath and I nodded

"Hey Josh." I said walking right to the bar as he polished glasses
"Hey Carrie." He said stopping and pouring me a whiskey sour
"Its one in the afternoon. You want me to start drinking?" I asked laughing
"Well there is some one in your office." He said leaving the bottle of whiskey and extra glass for me to take with me

"Agent Rossi?" I asked seeing him looking at pictures I had hanging up
"You have a picture hanging of you and your family." He said as I set my purse, extra glass and bottle on my desk
"Ya I do. The last one we took together at graduation." I said really trying not to chug my drink
"JJ has talked about you a lot until you went missing." He said pouring himself a glass
"She said you were a free spirit and thought you never belonged in your hometown." He said continuing
"And now here you are married to the next head of the mafia. What made you fall in love with a dangerous man like Luca Derosa?" He asked sitting on my couch
"Well hes not in the mafia. And Im pretty sure the mafia is over since the 1920s." I laughed
"Well I know its still thriving in Italy. Thats why his dad came back right?" He asked as I looked at him confused
"He came back cause his mom is doing better. She was in the hospital for pneumonia, she is seventy eight years old." I said holding back a chuckle
"Yes I see that and the records." He said putting a file on the coffee table
"Whats this?" I asked not touching it and refilling my cup with just whiskey
"That in there is you attending events on your husbands arm that were from high ranking criminals who have been able to avoid being arrested. Last night too from dinner with the leader of the Cartel. Now you had to have been told about that right? Who he was at least?" He asked as I shrugged
"Agent Rossi..." I started to say before he told me to call him David
"David. You are really mistaken. Luca isnt and never has been in the mafia. He is successful business man. I fell in love with him at first sight and I plan on always being with him." I said picking up the folder and giving it to him as he stood up to leave
"Keep it. It also has his and his mens criminal record. Thought you might enjoy some light reading." He said leaving me alone finally
