your soil is so rich.
you are a haven.
your roots grow into our souls.
your flowers warm our hearts.
your trees offer our bodies protection.
we dig you up,
we cut you down.
we dig ourselves up,
we cut ourselves down.
you are us.
you keep us alive.
you are vibrant.
you are what we should be protecting.
you are earth
and we don't deserve you.
