"Trey: Tell me why I didn't bring you to this award show with me?😒"-8:15pm

The sound of my message tone caught my attention while doing Mirah's hair. Tapping the screen, I smiled once I saw it was from Trey.

":What award show?😐"-8:16pm

"Trey: Girl where your head at? BET award show!"-8:18pm

When I saw that, I was shocked. I had been so long since I've actually sat and watched the BET Awards. I had lost interest in the music that was current so I just never listened.

":Oh that's tonight? Ok, I'll tune in now then and to answer your question, you didn't take me because of the attention it would bring😂."-8:20pm

"Trey: Yea you right. Plus niggas gonna be staring at that ass you got and I don't want to have to fight anyone in my suit. A nigga looking too good to fight."-8:22pm

Laughing at his response, I flipped the TV and waited till the advertisements were finished. As the viewing came back, Trey and I were still messaging each other till he had to go. As the show progressed, I noticed Mirah had fallen asleep on my lap.

"I'll put her down."

Passing me my food, my mother took Mirah, same time my phone rang.

"Love of my life." I answered.

"Awe you got me blushing." She cooed. "Hi babe."

"Hi love, what's up?"

"Nothing much. I'm bored and ready to see you."

I could tell she was pouting just by the way she sounded. I was beyond ready for vacation, honestly. I needed a change in scenery and I needed it now.

"I'm ready to see you too babe. I have one more week then I'm out there for Chantal's birthday and I will be all yours."

"I love the sound of that. How's my baby girl doing?"

"Sleeping." I laughed. "She fell asleep while we were watching BET awards."

"You still watch that? I  haven't seen that in a minute."

"Girl same here. It's only because Trey was messaging me as he is there so I tuned in."

"When are you and him going to stop playing and give Mirah a brother or sister?" She joked.

"Now Shay-Ann."

"Oop! My full first name. I'll stop now." She laughed.

"Thank you. You of all people know Trey and I haven't and won't cross that line."

"I know, I was just messing with you."

"Mhmm. When are you going to give my Caleb a brother or sister?"

"When Jesus comes back. Girl you know I don't trust these niggas out here."

"You'll find the right one soon enough."

"And what about you?"

"What about me? I'm contented with being single forever. I have my ladybug and I'm good."

"So you're over the whole you and Druex getting back together?"

"Honestly, if it's to happen then so be it. I mean he did apologize when he was here for Mirah's birthday and-"
