August

"You all set?"

"Aug you're acting like I'm going away forever." She laughed.

"Hey I'm gonna miss ya and you know that."

"I know but it's only going to be for a week, plus you have tour preparations to keep you preoccupied."

It was no doubt that I had become closer to Alei in the past weeks she's been here. As side from the small amount of people I keep in my circle, she's the only person I trust.

"True, but when you get back to Atlanta, I'll be on tour."

"Yea but something will work out."

"Just remember to talk to your momma bout the spot."

"Yes I know."

After our talk, she took me over to see the place. It was a good set up and with proper planning I can see it working.

She knew she wanted it, but at the same time, she wanted to know it was the right move for her so she needed her mother's approval so to speak.

"Shay seems to be more excited than me."

"I bet she is. If ya move outchea, you gonna be staying with her?"

"Yea. It would be easier on my financially."

"Yea it would but you know I'm here for ya too."

"I know and thanks but you know you're going to be my last resort, no offense."

"None taken. I rather be that than nothing."

"I bet you do."

"What about ole boy?"

Hearing her sigh after mentioning her daughta's father, I just shook my head. Since she got into it with him about that Greece trip, they've been bumping heads. Then when she told me what her daughta asked based on what she heard, that shit annoyed me.

"I haven't mentioned anything to him and I'm going to keep it like that for now. I don't think he would mind the move because she would be in the states but you never know what you're going to get when it comes to him."

"The fuck did you seen in that nigga."

"He wasn't always like this. Shit we weren't always like this but when he started showing out when I got pregnant it all went left."

"I get the but why his grand momma hating on you like that?"

"Because like your mother thought, they believe I trapped him. Let me tell you something. It's not the fact that I'm a female that they think I'm coming for what you have, its the fact that I'm an outside female."

"What you mean?"

"I mean, I'm not American." She laughed. "But regardless of anything, I know Amirah is his and yes he financially takes care of her, I could too without him. Plus his grandmother is an ole, miserable bitch anyway."

I instantly began to laugh after she said that.

"Let me ask you something?"

"Sure."

"You and Trey? What's up?"

"We're just friend. He's my male best friend. I met him not to long after I met Druex at an event and since then we've been good."

"Y'all fucked?"

"No." She laughed.

"Why you laughed? It's a valid question."

"I know but I laughed because I've been waiting on these questions."

"You was?"

"Yea. I knew it was only a matter of time before you asked, but like I said Trey and I are just friends."

"Ok cool."

"His mother actually like me and never prejudged me."

"Very funny."

Continuing our conversation some more, I was relieved when she said nothing happened between her and Trey.

Once I got off the call, she went ahead and got ready to head to the airport while I got ready to meet with my management.

Alei

"So when you get back we'll check it out?"

"Yea we will." I nodded.

In the car heading to the airport, I was actually feeling sad about leaving. I had initially made up my mind on the spot, but I needed to hear what my mother had to say. Overall she has been supportive of me and my decisions. Though me getting pregnant at twenty was a bit of an upset to her, she still had my back in the end.

"Tell auntie Monica that I said hi. You know she can't stand me." She laughed.

"Girl you know she loves you and yea I'll tell her."

"Have you spoken to Druex?"

"Yea we spoke this morning."

"And?"

"And he was typical Druex."

"Did you ask him about what Mirah said?"

"No and before you ask why not, because I wasn't in the mood to argue."

"You better check his ass for that shit. I could have never stand his grand momma. That witch was aggravating."

"Yea she was. You remember when she came to my grandparents beach house that night raising hell."

"Yea. She lucky I didn't kick her in her throat with her short self."

"Oh my gosh Shay." I laughed.

Pulling up at the airport, I checked in and we sat and waited.

"This week need to go by quickly." She sighed. "Having you here brought back so many great memories."

"Yes it did. But hey, soon we're going to be roommates so don't even stress."

"That's till you and Aug get serious and you leave me." She pouted.

"Girl please. I'm not about to shack up with him."

"But you are going to get serious though." She smirked.

"I mean, it's like we're working towards it."

"And y'all already had y'all first and numerous kisses."

"Whatever." I blushed.

Sitting there just conversing on random things, I could honestly say so far, my vacation was good. Once my flight was called, I got my bag and got up.

"Call me as soon as you clear immigration."

"I will." We hugged.

Taking a deep breath, I exhaled. Pulling my carry on, I made my way over to the entrance when I heard someone call me. Looking back, Aug came jogging up to me.

"Ya really think I was about ta let ya ass leave without seeing ya?" He smiled.

People in the airport were staring of course but neither him nor I cared.

"Soon after you finish talking ta Shay, call me." He wrapped his arms around me.

"I was going to call you first." I whispered and smiled.

"Good." He kissed my forehead. "Don't worry, I wouldn't put us out thea like that." He whispered.

Final boarding was called and I finally let go of him. Walking off, I looked back and smiled and waved at him and Shay. I don't know why it felt like so over dramatic but I guess it was because I finally had my friends with me.
