Chapter 15

Alei

"Alei please! Can you get her to stop crying!"

Annoyed by his annoyance, I tried to ignore Druex.

"How many things do you want me to do at once?"

Packing her bags, she was crying because she had to leave me. We were three weeks into our vacation, and now she had to leave.

"Man that shit suppose to have been packed!" He shot back.

Standing up straight, I just stared at him while he held her. I couldn't believe he was being like this.

"You know what-" I approached him. "Why don't you be of some kind of assistance rather than criticize everything I'm doing!"

Taking our daughter from him, I walked off as she continued crying.

"Shhhh! Stop crying ladybug." I tried calming her.

"I don't want to go!" She cried.

"But we talked about this love."

"I want you mommy." She cried.

"I know princess but grandma Fredric wants to spend time with you."

"Then momma come too."

"Stop crying lovie. Mommy's got you."

Pacing back and forth with her, she finally calmed down. Getting her bathe and changed, I laid her down for a nap before going back to her bag.

"I finished packing it." Druex spoke.

"Ok." I mumbled.

Heading into Shay's kitchen, I prepared some snacks for her for the flight. As much as I wanted to go with her, I chose not too so she would settle in easier.

"Why you always gotta at like that?"

"Like what?"

"Nothing." He shook his head.

"Whatever Druex." I fanned him off.

Once I was finished in the kitchen, I went and had myself a shower and laid down with my daughter, eventually falling asleep.

"Mommy am I coming back soon?"

"Sooner than you think ladybug." I kissed the top of her nose.

We were sitting at the airport waiting on their flight to call. All her crying had tired her out so much that she slept really long.

"Ok."

"And I want you to be a good girl too ok?"

"Uh huh." She nodded.

Sticking her thumb in her mouth, she laid her head on my chest. It wasn't long after, their flight was called.

Lifting her, Druex held her as he faced me.

"By ladybug. Mommy loves you."

"Love you too mommy." She kissed my cheek.

"Later." Druex kissed my forehead.

I watched till the disappeared down the tunnel. Heading back out front, I got into Shay's car as she waited for me.

"You gonna be ok."

"I'll be fine."I nodded.

"Want to want to eat?"

"You pick, it doesn't matter." Chinese it is then." She smiled.

"I'm good with that. What you have planned for tonight?"
