The weekend was finally here, not like if it made a difference to my week anyway. Only difference was my daughter was heading to Florida and then some how a trip to Greece was added to the mix.

I knew Druex had family out there but I didn't expect them to just drop this on me.

"Druex, I honestly don't care. You didn't tell me anything about a second trip."

"I know but it just came up."

"Yea well you aren't going, therefore she isn't either."

"Come again?"

"You heard me the first time. I'm not sending my child all the way to Europe without me or even you."

"Alei, its only going to be for two weeks and its with my mother."

I was becoming really annoyed at this point.

"Listen, I don't give a fuck. Just make sure my child is back in either California with you or in Atlanta with me when they leave Florida because I swear to God, if your mother takes her, I'm calling the police and reporting it as a kidnapping."

"You not fucking serious."

"Deadass!"

We both sat there staring at each other on our video call. He knew better than to test me when it came to my child.

"Just put her on the phone. I'm bout tired of this conversation now."

Seeing Mirah's smile as she sat, it changed my entire mood.

"Hi mommy." She waved.

"Hey Lady bug, you ready for your trip?"

"Uh huh and daddy's coming too."

"He is? Well make sure you have lots of fun and after you'll be with mommy."

"Ok." She nodded. "Mommy?"

"Yea babe?"

"Daddy just a pay check?"

"Come again?"

I was highly confused by what she had just asked me because I know she don't know what a paycheck is.

"Nanuh said you finally letting daddy be a father and not a paycheck."

My eyes shot open widely when I heard those words. As I was about to ask fro Druex, there was a knock on the door.

Picking up my tab, I walked to the door. Tip toeing, I looked through the peep hole only to see Aug standing there. Smiling, I opened the door but it soon dropped when I saw his mother with him.

"Mommy are you still there?"

Hearing Mirah call me, brought me back to reality.

"Yes lady bug, I'm here." I smiled.

Stepping back, I allowed them to come in. As the got comfortable in the living room, I finished my conversation with Mirah.

"Mommy, grandma says its time to go."

"Ok babe, remember what I told you."

"Best behaviour." She smiled.

"Very good. I love you."

"Love you too mommy."

I didn't even want to speak to Druex so I just ended the call. Looking up, I noticed Au's mother looking at me. Sighing, I walked back over to them. Being the respectful person that I am, I said good morning and gave Aug a hug.
