i looked x straight in the eyes
i could cry
"what are you doing here?" i asked
x turned his head away from me
"we made a deal" aqua said.
a deal????? what deal
"if i let you go with aqua, they won't call the cops on me"
i was shocked. they were letting go of an abuser just for me
"wh- you- y-"
i was stammering at this point
aqua held my shoulder and smiled
"it's okay. you can come live with me up in the north."
the north....
"that would mean....i would have to leave my school...and my friends" i said to her
she looked guilty
"i'm sorry. but this is the only way. you can still text them! i'm also more than happy to bring you up on weekends"
she gave me a soft smile then walked up to x
"so? a deal?"
he looked up from the floor
"fine. say a word of what i did and i'll make sure you're dead"
x looked sora straight in the eyes and said this.
sora gave him a nasty look
"c'mon. pack your things. i've already got your other stuff from our house" x slapped my shoulder
i couldn't believe it. in 24 hours i would be away from x
forever
and away from here

"hey man" sora crept behind me
he looked sad. and a little guilty
"oh hey....look i'm so-"
"don't be sorry for choosing the right option." he said. "i'm happy for you and hope you live a good life in the north"
he pulled me into a hug
this was weird. i cant remember the last time i was hugged
"oh. thanks" i said. pulling away
sora went to his desk and pulled a little key out of his drawer
"here. have this." he set it in my hand
"what's this?"
he smiled.
"may your heart be your guiding key"
i laughed "gay"
he gave me a little nudge and we laughed for a bit
i'm gonna miss him the most.

as i got into aquas car and waved goodbye to sora and his mum, i couldn't help a tear run down my eyes.
sora had been my best friend since we were ten. and all of a sudden i have to let go of him?

we went out that night
for the first time without him
before kairi , riku and the sea salt trio came along, it was just us
his missing presence shook me a little. it was hard to deny i missed him
riku pulled me aside and held my shoulder
"hey are you doing okay? you don't seem yourself"
he looked concerned. riku was like that
"yeah,,,just,,,you know"
he read my mind like a book
"v?"
i nodded
he pulled me into a side hug
"i miss him too. maybe we can go down one weekend?"
i nodded again "yeah. that would be great."
kairi came over to us
"you guys!" she said "what are you doing? we're getting lea to text his girlfriend "i want a baby"
we both laughed
