Guys, please listen to the above instrumental song while reading this chapter. There's a song written in the chapter so.... Reduce the volume if it's too loud and if you can't concentrate on the reading.

A melodious tune swirled through the extravagant banquet as the guests couldn't help but gaze at the man whose porcelain fingers were elegantly touching the strings. His dazzling grace took away the breath of every person in the audience. Those fingers that touched the strings were a fascinating sight like they were a part of the instrument itself. The picturesque man sat as straight as a pole which was appealing while playing the zither. His low yet mild voice echoed throughout the banquet hall as the lovely consorts started to sway their hips, and their delicate hands spreading out softly in sync. Every movement was filled with a compelling passion.

If every beauty could have a happy ending,

Would there be legendary tales circulating in this world?

Like shackles, dressed in gold and wrapped with jade,

Like snowflakes, falling down while fluttering—

How beautiful, living towards death.

Digging out the deepest emotions within them.

If love could be truly understood, it would ultimately be loneliness,

Despite the causes and the consequences.

The persistence of sticking it out through hardships.

The bitterly waiting, an illusionary promise.

Threw away so much of my youth.

As the words escaped my plump lips, I'm starting to feel my own emotions stirring up and pouring out from the depths of my heart.

Like soft bright silk, twining around,

Like shackles, dressed in gold and wrapped with jade,

Like snowflakes, falling down while fluttering—

How beautiful, living towards death.

For once I wanted to try conveying my true feelings to him.

If love could be truly understood, it would ultimately be loneliness,

Despite the causes and the consequences.

The persistence of sticking it out through hardships.

The bitterly waiting, an illusionary promise.

Threw away so much of my youth.

Praying and wishing that it would somehow reach his heart.

Faltering and stumbling through the months and years, passing by and missing each other through the cycles of reincarnation,
