I walk back to the dorms. As I open the door, the sudden chill makes me shiver. I go to grab my jacket and Lynn is there.

"Hey" I say.

"Hi" she replies. Lynn has been quite "down in the dumps" since the second stage of initiation. Now we're done. We are officially new members of Dauntless. Lynn doesn't seemed too excited.

"Any idea what job you're gonna pick tomorrow?" I say.

"Yea" she begins with a low, sad tone. "And you?"

"Possibly"

She nods and turns around to leave. "Where are you heading?" I ask.

"The cafeteria," Lynn says annoyingly.

"I'm coming" I insist.

"Whatever." She rolls her eyes. What has gotten into her lately? I follow Lynn down to the cafeteria. On our way there, we see Shauna.

"You two ready for tonight?" She asks excitedly.

"What's tonight?" asks Lynn.

"A little game of Candor or Dauntless." replies Shauna.

"Yea we're coming." I nod.

"Alright 7:30 p.m. sharp." Shauna grins and then she leaves. I continue my way to the cafeteria with Lynn. We arrive and she immediately goes to sit down at the table with Gabe, Molly, and Peter. Seriously?! I can't believe she goes and sits down with them. Usually she sits with Uriah and I. Speaking of Uriah, I wonder where he is. Lynn immediately snaps her fingers in front of my face. "Daydreaming about your boyfriend?" she asks irritated.

"Huh?" Who is she talking about?

"Nevermind," she replies. "Anyways I'm going to Molly's tonight to play spin the bottle. Wanna come?"

"NO!" I say, louder than intended. There is no way I'm going to play spin the bottle with a bunch of pansycakes. "I uh- I mean" I begin. "I thought we were going to Shauna's for Candor or Dauntless."

Lynn rolls her eyes. "I've had enough of my stupid sister. I'm gonna go have some real fun." She lifts one of her eyebrows as if she's asking me again if I'd rather go with her instead.

"I'll just go to Shauna's," I say, smiling.

"Ugh fine!" she says. "This is the exact reason I've made new friends." She looks at Peter and Molly and they stand up in unison and walk off. I stare at Gabe. "What's wrong with her?" I insist.

Gabe shrugs. "Probably since you've been hanging out with Uriah a lot more than her."

I laugh slightly. "That's no reason to be mad."

"For Lynn it is," he says. Gabe stands up from his chair. "Now if you will excuse me, I'm going to sleep the rest of the day away because I can."

"Whatever." I nod. He walks away and I find myself drowning in confusion about Lynn. Why would she want to be friends with anyone but me? Maybe I am hanging out with Uriah too much. He's sort of like a magnet. I'm just so attracted to him. Maybe it's just Lynn that's all fussy. Maybe she's just the problem. Maybe it's me. All I know is that I'm going to go get ready for a fun game of Candor or Dauntless.
