Jamie cursed as he skidded around a sharp corner and pressed his back to the wall he was now hiding behind. Quickly thinking of a way to escape the crazy girl chasing him, Jamie turned into one of his animagus forms. A black cat.
No sooner did he finish the transformation did the girl round the corner. She ran right by him, thankfully.
But, just as Jamie was about to run again, he felt cool hands around his stomach gently scoop him off the floor. He was held to a strong chest as nimble fingers scratched behind his ears, making him put and butt his head against the "magic hands" petting him.
Jamie closed his eyes in pain when he was hit by a spell from crazy-girl. The last thing he herd was the rumble of the chest he was held to as the person yelled at her before his tiny body couldn't take the pain any more and he blacked out.
